Mantra, I love how you take your high-and-mighty position against gay stereotypes. "oh I am sooo above that", but then you just have to get in some stupid comment about some stupid heterosexual stereotype, or you viciously insult someone in a very immature way. It's just a thought... you can do what you want... even if it makes you look like a complete ass.

So how come only I get the lecture about not stereotyping straight people? What about the hoardes of typical heterosexual teenage males (which really don't matter, except on the Internet where they're proportion is painfully higher) who stereotype against gays? I mean, you can't argue with the fact that there's more of them than me; so instead of disagreeing with your Dragonball Z-loving Counter Strike-playing jock ricer heterosexuals kin (which have an equal share of the stereotyping blame as I do) who are the majority, you pick on the fact that one homosexual is defending himself from the painfully apparent barrage of idiocy spewing from each of these homophobic hetero male forum posters.

So yeah, get your priorities straight. Or gay.

KagomJack 2005-01-24 09:11 PM

This also kinda goes beyond in the real world. Granted that the heterosexual community outnumbers the homosexual community by a larger percentage, there's plenty of straight people stereotyping the gay people. You find it wherever you go: internet, movies, TV, radio, etc. Ever watch Will & Grace? They have Jack in the typical limp-wristed, fruity, flaming gay guy. But that's not to say we don't have stereotypes for heterosexuals. But how we actually stereotype them depends on the region they live. Take the South. We stereotype them as incompetant, retarded, backwards, inbred, NASCAR loving hicks. Now, that's not true to a great degree, but it still comes in. Other places we have the sports addicted, alcohol consuming, meat grilling partyman/woman. The problem is, we're a nation who runs on Stereotyping and it really doesn't do us much good (unless done in humor as Dave Chapelle did). The point of all this is that we're not going to get anywhere with stereotyping because it displays ignorance and plain-out idiocy.

Slim 2005-01-24 09:22 PM

I'm SURE you care about people stereotyping you, I mean you don't go around spewing shit about loving cock in DAMN NEAR EVERY SINGLE POST YOU MAKE, after all.

Mantralord 2005-01-25 02:10 AM

Well, you force your horrible paintball sig on the world...

Thanatos 2005-01-25 06:20 AM

I'd take his paintball sig over the shit you say any day.

Grav 2005-01-25 09:30 AM

Slim, your sig does blow. =/

Oh here comes Captain Homophobe of the U.S.S. Ignorant.

Slim 2005-01-25 04:56 PM

Well, considering I didn't make it, I don't really give a shit. I have better things to do then spend my time huddled over graphics programs and jacking off over the product that no one save a few people on the internet will EVER FUCKING SEE. Congratulations, you insulted me on something SOMEONE ELSE MADE. Go you?

Now you're just making shit up, because I don't whine whenever someone mentions straight sex, I just defend gay sex whenever one of you shitpills stereotypically (and expectedly) puts it down.

So we aren't allowed to have our opinions? Most people think gay sex is disgusting, and you're not going to change their minds on it, don't bother defending it. Sure, you have a right to it, but PLEASE just keep it off the forums, as it DOES offend people. I'm far from homophobic, I'd do the same thing if some dumbass ran around spewing about "hwo mcuh puusi he gotz loloz"

Simply asking you to keep your personal life just that, personal.

Fact is, people who don't like gays tend to be of lesser intelligence than those who do. It's not about whether I convince you to accept us or not; it's about pointing out the fact that you fit into a group that's probably stupid and ignorant.

Thanatos 2005-01-26 06:50 AM

I have no problem with gays but I do have a problem with this:
http://zelaron.com/forum/showthread....398#post484918

Sometimes you say the most disgusting shit I've ever heard. There's really no need for it; we know you're gay. Cool. Now shut the fuck up.

Mantralord 2005-01-26 07:01 AM

No one's forcing you to read it.

Thanatos 2005-01-26 02:51 PM

It's not like I have a mantra-dar to tell me in which thread you've posted.

Mantralord 2005-01-26 03:12 PM

There's the ignore button.

First off, you just had to use some more stereotypes... secondly, I have done nothing wrong here (and you never accused me, rightfully). There is NOTHING wrong with defending yourself, but fighting fire with fire, or taking an eye-for-an-eye mentality never got anyone anywhere. I think it's safe to assume neither of us care... I was just pointing something out, and so were you... but I think you misconstrued what I was pointing out.

Mantralord 2005-01-26 04:18 PM

But if everyone was all peaceful and just sat down idle not hurting anyone or fighting fire with fire, then the world would get boring really fast.
