American history? No offence meant to any americans out there, but American History is slightly boring. There is not much interesting things that have happened. Look at European countries for example --> France had hundreds of years of bloody revolutions, England has had centuries of different people --> The Celts, the Romans, Saxons, Vikings, and the Normans. The whole of Europe has been engulfed in vicious fughting in the World Wars and more. Saying America is on of the biggest (collective) countries out there, it doesn't have a very interesting history.

I don't think we English have IB things.

We have Honour degrees and such though.

Never even heard of an English semester.

ALso, you have to remember that the us is significantly younger then the rest of the world.

Fair enough. I find English history, and European history interesting.

At A-level, AS-Level, if I do history, then I have to do about American history.
