Dependence on flash is bad. Not everyone has flash, not everyone has it enabled. Advertisers use flash, flash movies consume bandwidth. At the least, you should use a cell background to take up the space. A really good option is to do how tournament.com did and put up an image with an image map if flash is disabled. I've mentioned this to John about his site, too.

I don't see anythnig wrong with flash I think he should stick too it.

That is actually a great idea, I was going to say something about the Flash but I was thinking of more of a "if the person dosent have it, display a download link".
