So in other words, Insolence should be unbanned just because OTHER people can and will scam? How many people do you really think scam others on a constant basis? You see bots marching through channels a lot, don't you? Face it, there still aren't "that many scammers" compared to the amount of players in-game. And if someone trusts a close friend who still steals their items, I don't see a reason why this scammer shouldn't be punished if possible.

There's nothing personal against Insolence in this matter. It's just a matter of whether or not someone on Zelaron should be able to contact another Zelaroner, steal his account, sell his items and delete his characters, just to come back to the board and steal his forum account for whatever reason. If that's the kind of people you want on the forum, then go ahead, tell me to unban him and I will.

Took the words out of my mouth Chruser.

I like Insolence, but I think his ban was fair.

But I recommend lifting the ban after a while, he's a good kid, I know he helped me alot..

Bloodkrawller 2003-12-28 11:37 AM

:fire: Okay, you are misunderstanding me chruser. No offence to you chruser but I don't see why you would ban a person because of something that happens all the time. Okay, Insolence may be an umannered, fowl mouth jerk, but this is the first time I have heard of him doing something like this. So Chruser you are saying that if I were to say break into King's account, steal his stuff and change the password, you would ban me just cause I did this once, not even considering the reasons why? Just that the act was done? That because you see less people getting hacked or deleted, that gives you the right to ban him for doing it once??Okay maybe that's a little far gone but what i am saying is you have got people on one side saying that he wouldn't do it but then you have got people on the other side saying he would. He admits to it but doesn't that count for something. It's not like he hid it from you and lied about it.

Like I stated before, him and I have never gotten along, I would be more of an enemy than a friend to him. I have nothing to gain from this, nor do I want to. I just don't believe that you should ban him so quickly . Yes I believe that he should be punished, but banning him? Can't we restrict him from doing certain things on the board or something, and if he does it again, then we ban him? Or can't we just ban him for a certain period of time, like a month or two? Because I don't think you should ban one and not the other, I think you should ban .sick too. Why you ask?? Well Insolence was the one to hack and delete, but from what I hear .sick went out and distributed Insol's bot program without his permission.

Bloodkrawller 2003-12-28 11:39 AM

Sorry, my last post was finally done after A-chrome posted. Damn slow-a" comp. lolz

Titusfied 2003-12-28 11:45 AM

Well, I think that the fact that he used Zelaron to get someone else's account information, just so he could steal their items and delete their characters is more than enough to warrant a ban.

I also think that since he did fess up to this, wasn't trying to pull a smoothy on anyone, and got his bot distributed in the process, that maybe a Permanent Ban is not in place. I do feel as though he should be banned for a good amount of time, just not permanently.

Bloodkrawller 2003-12-28 11:50 AM

Then maybe we can agree upon a temporary ban if Chruser agrees to it? Maybe a moderator can fix the poll to add a new choice of Temp Ban on it?? See if maybe people will agree to that??

Oh, so because something happens rather often now, it should be justified and okay? If people started to get murdered at five times the rate of today, should the penalties for the crime be lowered "just because more people do it"? Sorry, I don't buy your reasoning at all.

First off, the fact that .sick passed the bot on has not even been proved, only claimed. And frankly, yes, I would most likely ban you for doing something like that. If you murder someone, does the reasons WHY you did it really matter? Insolence deleted .sick's characters, so getting him to undo his sins isn't the easiest of things to ask for now.

Once again, why does other people's actions justify his? He did wrong, now he pays for it. Personally, I'd ban every scammer from this board who's ever used Zelaron to scam someone. In fact, I'd want to ban anyone who spends time ruining other people's gameplay by stealing their accounts, whether or not they have used this board to establish contact.

I want this board to be as safe as possible and NOT scammer-friendly? What about you?

Demosthenes 2003-12-28 04:20 PM

This is str8 from insolence:

1) He contacted ME through my clan thread, we met, became friends, we met before i even thought about making an autoit bot.

2) I did not 'sell' his items.

3) I stoled his tals armor, and soj, so he could not even try to use my bot any more, i did not scout his mules for items.

4) He taunted me, and frankly, was an asshole after i stole his shit 'HAHA you stupid fag, you didnt even check the mules and take the other 2 sojs and shako i had!', so i deleted his 2 chars (which he always complained about sucking anyway)

5) I did not TRADE my bot to sick for his account, i gave it to him as a friendly gesture

6) He gave it to his friends, he threatened to sell it unless i gave him the 'right version' (he thought i sent him one that would purposely mess up, just to make him angry)

7) He would not stop complaining about the bot, and just plain bothering me.

8) He stalks my friends, he pked eellis when him and my friend were doing hell ancients for me...

9) He has more then enough items (or so he claims: 2 sojs, shako) to get tals armor back, and mf another soj.

10) I will NOT repay him for his items, i did what I thought would stop him, and it did.

11) Since HE contacted me before i even started the bot, i did not use zelaron forums to steal his account.

12) I did not change his zelaron password, thats a lie.

13) I did not use his zelaron information to get his account.

14) ZELARON WAS NOT INVOLVED IN ANY WAY/SHAPE/FORM.

15) I did not ask people to support me on this, everyone who has done it, has done it by their own will, and i appriciate your help :-)

16) As i said, it was not my intention to delete any characters, but he taunted me into it.

17) Also, to add as a funny side note, I checked his yahoo email account, and it was full of pictures of men (various poses, hair styles, and less clothing then you would think)

Titusfied 2003-12-28 04:49 PM

Hah, now that is pretty funny. There are always other sides to the story, so this should be taken into consideration, and why not.

I openly admitted to stealing someone's gunbound account a few days ago, do I have immunity or something?

No, you don't. Did you establish contact through Zelaron?

!King_Amazon! 2003-12-28 05:45 PM

No, he doesn't visit Zelaron.(at least from what I know, I got the password from Kaos, and I don't know who the guy is, so if he does visit Zelaron it's not something I know.)

But, you know either way that I could scam someone here at Zelaron, so ban me now bitch.

Sovereign 2003-12-28 05:47 PM

No, you have not broken any rules, and zelaron was not part of this scamming deal. No need for a ban.

!King_Amazon! 2003-12-28 05:49 PM

I've scammed Zelaron members before, so I could do it again, so YES, ban me.

Demosthenes 2003-12-28 05:54 PM

Why are you trying to get banned so bad KA?

Demosthenes 2003-12-28 06:06 PM

Insolence asked me to add this:

HE established the connection with me, so wait, what rules did i break, and he did not?

!King_Amazon! 2003-12-28 06:10 PM

I just wanna get banned because I'm getting tired of getting away with stuff others don't.
