I have 22, about 7 of those are because my motherboard has onboard sound/lan and it needs a bunch of SVCHost.exe's.

Besides, I have a gig of RAM, who cares :)

Does anyone one know how to disable the system idle process or something, because its taking up 99% of my comp.

You cant close it. Its a critial system component.
