First, Mushroomhead is fucking awesome. I'd say my favorite character is either Kain from FF4, Setzer from FF6, or Zidane from FF9. Kain was just a hard, cold badass, I really like the whole "wandering gambler" appeal of Setzer, and Zidane is a lecherous little smartass.

You like Tidus...?! He looks kinda of feminine... and have you seen the ending when he cries? His face is fucked up... but still good graphics. I donno y ppl like Tidus. I used to like him and then Auron became mine... and maybe Lulu since she rocks with Ultima doublecast(and hottest out of all the Final Fantasy characs.)

I dont really like Cid, but my favourite charac in FF7 is Sephiroth. He is the coolest bad guy (or some ppl say villain) in FF series.

I think Kuja is the coolest villain from the series. Yeah, he looked REALLY affeminate, but he was twice as evil as any of the other villains. For God's sake, he blew up his home planet!!

ROFL... knifegun... it sounds even better with swordgun. But anyway, both are wrong. Its gunblade. Squall is cool and the best charac in FF8 with KICK ASS LIONHEART! But coolest looking charac in FF8 is Matron(Sorceress Edea).

I noticed that a bunch of you mentioned Red XII, but he's overrated.

Locke... he isnt bad, but he is pretty damn ugly. Infact, all the characs in FF3 are ugly but good... when u go to the menu, u can see ur character's lil heads? Those are the ugly ones im talking about. You know wut im sayin? I think, I THINK(underlined) FF3 has the ugliest characters but the game is amazing, i must say.

The chars aren't ugly, it's just called 16-bit graphics :)

I'm not going to argue about Chruser's choice of Edgar. This would always be my party near the end of the game:
Locke, Edgar, Sabin, and Shadow. Ahh, memories...

Fuck, I forgot to add my reply. Actually, I was going to say that it's Yoshitaka Amano's artwork that Phoenix is deeming ugly, not the graphics. I think Amano is fucking badass, personally. He designed the characters from damn near every Final Fantasy game, Square just didn't use his artwork in any of the games but FF6 (FF3 for those who don't know).

So HE is the one who drew those ugly pictures... o, by the way Chruser, i was talking about the drawing when u go the menu... im not talking about the graphics and how they look in the gameplay. You know what im sayin?

I think his art is pretty cool, actually. He's done the initial character designs for every Final Fantasy game so far, and the final designs usually stick fairly close to the originals. Although his original FF6 artwork is probably my least favorite.
