Apparently Square's actually going to do a storyline sequel to FFX, but man have they changed Yuna. She now sports a completely different outfit and uses guns.

Wtf... this game is like entirely on Yuna... but with GUNS?! lol A summoner with a gun... that looks pretty weird, but this also sounds pretty bad... Yuna sets out to find something "interesting"?? With some helps with just 2 party members? This sounds like another KH but RPG style instead of Zelda style heh, I donno if this is going to be any good.

They're not going to stop making FF games for PS2, Phoenix. In fact, Square will keep releasing the prime Final Fantasy series on PS2 exclusively. Many of their more "experimental" games will be released on Gamecube though. Stuff along the lines of The Bouncer and Secret of Mana.

And yes, Tidus isn't in it AFAIK. I don't think Yuna's a summoner anymore either. She's no longer a priestess.

And the two characters we know are not going to be the only people in the party. Square just wants to keep the others secret for now.

Well, of course Yuna is not a summoner anymore... her job is done... destroy Sin... thats it. And this is Final Fantasy peeps... ANYTHING can happen... even though Tidus died and became a spirit with his dad Jecht, it doesnt mean its impossible for him to come back... why? Because its filled with fantasy which means, more than half of the stuff are unbelievable.

well...it had some extras..the dark aeons were tough guys with like 10-12 million hp (maybe more), there was then a guy to beat when you'd finished with them but I never did.. :D
A few other things were changed like we have ribbon...Protects against all status effects in one slot

I was downloading some FF music videos and other FF related items so i found something called Final Fantasy X: Another Story... it's the FF X*2 Trailer!! It's all about 2 years after the Tidus died and Rikku comes to town and says hi to Yuna and Wakka. And she says Kimahri says Hi and he found a sphere and the sphere shows Tidus yelling in a prison, the sphere is very blury and Tidus yelling let me out!! I was only saving the summoner! who cares if i used the enemys machina! If you want to know more Pm me or tell me to boost all ;)

as for you Makenshi, I'm not sure about Tidus being in prison, because I've seen lots of trailers but have seen no Tidus at all... it was all Yuna on an adventure with 2 companions. So, I don't know what you've downloaded but could you upload that and give us a link or give me the name to that file so I can download it?

Another story may not be X-2. Apparently, Square might be making a Rikku-centered story as well, but another usually reliable source as told me that X-2 and Another Story may be the same thing now.

We'll just have to wait and see.

I found FF10's sphere system terrible...I started to get into it but...way too messy...what will X-2 be like? I'll still get it if its sphere grid but won't like it...as much =]

I play Final Fantasy games for the story as well, and I hated FFX's plot. The villain was awful, the hero was laughable, and the overall movement of the plot didn't interest me at all.

one thing i forgot to add, the trailer i got.. in the end Rikku gives Yuna new clothes because she's going undercover. She goes undercover because there are many new Religions or groups or Yewon wannabes now or whatever and the largest one goes to visit Besaid and Yuna dont want anything to do with it, and their leader insist because every group wants the summoner who beat sin so she gets new clothes and goes out to find Tidus..

Hmm i must agree with raziel for FFX square looks more for a good design/graphics as for a really good story .
I think Square think people more looks for a good design/graphic as for a good story but for the most people is it so but that aren't rpg gamer they only want see fantastic graphic.
Ok i wouldn't say that a good graphic/design isn't important but it must be more in the background square must come back to the good old school like chrono trigger (ok not FF but).

nah, let it have a FF style and let Chrono Trigger have its own way of its "old school". FFX went far too much on the story and graphics... I didn't really like the taking turns battle system and the sphere lvls, and the game was too short and easy. Other wise it was good, with voices and good graphics not to mention awesome songs.

ah, story wasn't that bad... the game just needed to be a little harder... I was lvl 50 and I was able to beat enemies easily in every world and the coliseum.
