No, Sol is the name of the sun.
Actually, the Greeks called it Helios back in the day.
The solar system doesn't have a name, it's just called the Solar System.

It's name is the Solar System, it is the system of planets and other celestial bodies arround Sol. :rolleyes:

Most solar systems names are based on the name of their star, and how we were taught the name or our solar system is Sol.

The suns name is just that, "Sun" or as some writers put "Sol".
