Update Bubble

I was thinking that maybe Zelaron could have an 'update' feature added to the forums.

Somewhat like facebook, where Notifications are prevelant at keeping activity generated, if somebody replies to your post or your thread you could have an update that appears from a dropdown menu at the top of the page with who wrote it and a short line to hint at the full reply.

Sounds like a good idea to me, but good luck convincing anyone that it is worth adding such a feature to a forum which is only frequented by a handful of people.

Wow, shit, I haven't been here for a while. And uh, I have to agree with the above. Not the admin part, but just the work in general. I'm way overworked at the moment. Don't have time to screw around adding pointless features to vBulletin. I've got a site, with higher rankings than Zelaron, nearly completed, then like 5 other projects backed up. Two of which are games I'm working on with teams and some which are just open source fun. Plus all sorts of other fun shit like digging trenches for a new sprinkler system and my day-job.

Also, aren't subscriptions pretty much what's being described here, or am I wrong? As far as I know, if you choose to auto-subscribe to all threads you reply in, then there are notifications in the control panel.
