Feel free to vote for multiple options, or even all if you can't stand computer games.

Well, yes. Most normal people don't usually play "real-life shooters", while everyone is playing a real "sim" game, so the voting would be unfair if this included real life.

I meant limited to computer games as in PC games, not consoles/other non PC games.

Sports games are just sheer crap. It's the same regurgitated crap over and over again.

Action/Adventure - Uhh this is kinda wierd cause Action games are diffrent from adventure. Action can be shooters too? like delta force or even UT. While Adventure are games like Myst and maybe resident evil. I like action games but im not to much for Adventure type games.
Fighting - Games like Tekken, even tho i cant think of that many on computer.... But they are pretty good, i dont really like them much.
Racing - Like nascar or futuristic racers. I like realistic racing games just so i can crash but thats about it.
Role Playing - hmm... This could prolly include a ton of online games and baldurs gate and the ultima series (which i guess is adventure too). I like these, but not all of them.
Puzzles/Strategy - Ok this in my opinon shouldent of been grouped together =p. Puzzles = Tetris. Strategy = WC3 and Empire earth. I hate puzzles, and i like Strategy games alot.
Sports - SOMETIMES. NOT on computer only on Console like ps2 or xbox and most likely not for long, just untill i get over the awe of the nice graphics and then its boring.
Sims - Im really into All sims. ive got like EVERY "Sim" game. Sim safari, sim town, sim city(s), sim copter, sim tower, sim ant, sim park, simearth, the sims. Also i guess Flight sims fit in here, Flight sims are fun. I like sim games.
Shooters - Hmm depends? FPS? or Space shipp shooters??... FPS are cool like SOF2, CS, Etc, etc. I dont like the old space shooter side scrollers =p

Tomb Raider is a typical action game. If you're unsure whether the game is a shooter or an action/adventure game, pick shooter.

ya i think their all good, i was gonna select racing, but then i thought about grand tuismo 3, now that changed my descision.
I'm going to catagorize all games that have the word "Deer" or "Emergency" in them under Misc.

I like some select racing games, like Grand Turismo, but some are just crap, so I chose racing

Would you like to include the word "Extreme" in that genre? Example: Extreme Paintbrawl, Extreme Rodeo, Extreme Needlepoint.
Jamesadin
2002-08-09, 01:23 PM
Is there really an extreme rodeo?

Simulators are fucking stupid. The point of videogame is fantisy, not reality. I think most will agree with me on this one. if they don't, they're weird :O)
P.S.
I LOOK LIKE THIS! :nerd:

When you say "sims" I immediately think of "The Sims" which to me is the most irrelevant, silly game ever created. I mean good God! Why would you want to get home from work/school and then play at going to work/school lol. I lost a girlfriend because I laughed at her over the sims lol. (she was a bitch anyway) Now combat sims on the other hand are my second fav (see previous post).

Last time I checked anything that does any sort of electronic "thinking" is a computer. That includes consoles, calculators, and heat-seeking missles.
Fighting has usually been the most repetitve type of game, which gets my vote.

Good to see how many people here do not like
sports games. That one gets a vote, as does
simulation games.
Never have, and never will own a sports game.
Madden 11 ftw.
Actually, would the UFC games fall into the Fighting game category? Or would it fall under sports, considering it is a sport?

I suck so hard at racing games. It seems like no matter how much time I put towards one I cannot grasp how to control the vehicle.
I can't believe sports got so many votes with how much fun the Madden and Fifa games are.

I don't exactly understand the purpose of sports games. Sure, sports are pretty dumb, in reality, but at least they require some skill/work to get done. Sports games are for fat bastards who don't wanna get up and experience it themself.

The one sports game I almost liked was Blitz for the original Playstation. I have never enjoyed playing Madden, as they play by the rules, and I was called for offsides every other play. Same with hockey, wtf is icing? I never figured that shit out. I don't recall playing a soccer game.. ever.
There was also a Sega game by the name "Super Baseball 2020" That was the only baseball game I ever got into. Sports as a whole suck, I don't care if men are supposed to like sports, I will never spend my sunday sitting at home watching football.. (I will be button mashing the keyboard or controller)

Fuck racing and sports games. Only good racing games were anything Mario Kart. As for sports, definitely Blitz, Mutant League Football, NBA Jam, and Ken Griffy Jr.'s Slugfest for the Genesis.

Very few racing games perk'd my interested.. Anything Nascar or Indie was a NO-GO! (army joke). I did enjoy the Grand Turismo games though, as well as some of the newer titles like Split Second / Need for Speed: Underground was a good one. Straight racing though, no thank you.

Not sure what the name of the game is, but it took place in Tokyo or something, and you did street races...
I still disliked it.

Competition. They have Madden tournaments every year, it's just light fighting but with sophistication and regulations.
