As of now all they've cracked is past the login screen, which basically just lets you watch replays. Still, it's kind of cool to test the actual game on your system rather than just watch videos. Hopefully playing against the computer will come soon... or possibly even a private server (unlikely).

This is a better (more up to date) resource. Yes, I've been able to watch replays. Still waiting on them to crack single player vs AI.

How big are the files? I may have set aside some time to actually have it fully downloaded if it's anywhere near the size of the actual beta.

Well... the torrent I linked in the first post IS the beta... it's the same one you get from Blizzard. It's about 1.64 GB and took me about an hour to download. The other files are just miniscule crack/replay files, something like a few mb?

You can play sandbox mode now (offline, no opponent). It's not terribly exciting but you can at least play around with building units and such.

After installing the game (obviously) you need to:

1. Get the latest patch (Just run the Starcraft II launcher in the Starcraft II Beta Folder and it will auto-update).
2. Get maps from http://thepiratebay.org/torrent/5376948
3. Get the launcher from http://thepiratebay.org/torrent/5395618/SC2_Beta_-_Offline_Sandbox_%5BFIXED_ZIP%5D. Use it to load a map.

Thanks for keeping us posted! I still have to download the client but will do so over the weekend. I can't wait for regular-single-player mode become available.
