Here's my new baby. She's a beauty, and she sounds amazing. It's actually an acoustic electric, which is awesome. It's an Ibanez Flame Maple Acoustic Electric guitar. Cost me $425, saved almost $100 on it due to Memorial Day sales.

You must build those calluses up!

I'm still playing it. Getting better. I can play things that resemble music.

Not good enough for that yet, and my fingers hurt too bad to practice.

Just keep at it, right now is the hardest part, it will keep getting easier after things seem to bottom out.

Nah, it's not too hard right now. I'm just learning chords and practicing. When I'm learning, I'm sober. When I'm practicing/jamming, I get high. I can play for hours. My fingers are really starting to callous over, and it takes longer every day for them to start hurting. I had to have been going a good 2-3 hours yesterday before they started hurting again.

I haven't made a ton of progress on any songs, because I'm still trying to learn the chords well enough to play them instinctively. No point in learning a song if I can't play it at the speed that it is meant to be played. I did accidently start learning Nutshell, because I was playing around trying to find things that sounded good with the chords I knew, and just happened to start playing something that sounded remarkably like Nutshell.

Your guitar sucks, fag.

Get a drumset. :D

You'll never serenade a girl with the drums. As a matter of fact, playing the drums is barely even a factor in whether or not you get laid.

Buying a guitar to serenade to women as a sole factor seems like a bad route to go.

Who said I got it for that reason alone? I love playing the guitar.

Just saying, the only girls going for the drummer are the ones that know they can't have the lead guitarist.

lol, yea. Musical skills probably increase your odds if you're already fairly good with women, but I doubt it'll be a deal maker or breaker with the average woman.

I can agree with that, playing percussions on your knees with spoons will only get you laid by crackhead homeless women.

I want my baby :(

I miss her so much when I'm at work. When I'm at home, she stays with me. I haven't put her back in her case since Friday when I got her, seriously.
