I've got some advice, don't mess with your registry unless you know how to fix the problems you create.

Try reinstalling Firefox as the browser itself, and then running it normally. I bet that will correct it. Fully uninstall Firefox and then ReInstall it.

Wow, I haven't heard someone say this in a while. The programs I write pull and send data to the registry.

Anyways, are you logged in as Administrator? NO, not an account with Administrator privileges, I'm talking about the Administrator account.

It's good knowledge to live by.
If reloading the entire browser doesn't automatically fix your browser issues you either
a. Didn't uninstall it completely, and fully reinstall it. (To my understanding when a program is written off entirely and reloaded, the registry is automatically updated and you can go forward from that point)
b. Have other issues in your registry which are creating multiple problems varying through the browser.
What did moving to a new browser yield?
Just reformat your computer.. takes like 2 hours.
