When the fuck is Diablo 3 coming out?

Never :(
I think my problem with not showing up here as much lately as nobody else responds, and i'm guessing those people never come back because others aren't posting, it's a trickledown effect I thinks.

It should start with the moderators showing more activity...

Why? I don't know of anyone who comes to a forum, and doesn't post unless the mods do.
The problem isn't the moderators, it's everyone. Look at the stats, there is one person at 100% and then a ton of people all under 80% then it just drops off...

Lotro!
Let's have some cyber-terrorism against a completely different internet forum.. then relay where we are from about two weeks into it and see if we can't have fun while doing so.

That's an excellent idea!
Who should we raid?

Like Grav and MJ before me, I fear I have outgrown the addiction to Zelaron. I'm at a point in my life where regularly checking an Internet forum seems trivial; I have other things to worry about. I still haven't found a job and I've been looking for a month. I can't catch a break.. so Chruser or WW you can feel free to remove my moderation powers, I don't know how beneficial I can be if I barely visit. I do check this place from time to time but not nearly as much as I did when I worked at Ice Miller. I had so much downtime that posting on Zelaron was an hourly thing. Perhaps once I get a job again I'll have downtime to visit this place more.

Not to mention that there are four people in the top twenty who have zero posts.
That's kinda...sad...

Perhaps we should close down until Diablo 3 comes out. That way the reopening of Zelaron will be looked forward to.

I don't know why I haven't been visiting lately. Guess I'm just busy with school, guitar, and my girlfriend. Oh, and lots of video games.
I figure by the time spring break rolls around people will be bored having some time off.. And eventually when summer gets around and either D3/SC2 release things will probably pick up. I wouldn't say shut down at all..

I've already thought about playing D3, even though I've never played the first two. I'll have to ask Asamin to borrow them...

I played D2 before I played D1, which was a mistake. I don't like Diablo 1.

Yes, you can borrow them once I get the discs back from Atnas. Until then, just wait. I do have D1 though and I guess you could play that although I never really liked it.
As far as activity, I don't know why I stopped posting. It might have been that I started playing Median Mod and focusing on getting a Girlfriend, cuz it is about time I got one, so I just kinda stopped posting unless something really compelling was posted.

No reason to shut anything down. We're certainly in a slump right now, but that's nothing new. The people that do post here just need to continue posting and things will eventually even out again. I, for instance, posted a lot in the Sports Forum during the football season, which has obviously ended. Now, I started playing D2 again here and there, and I'm now posting every so often about the game, because it's changed a lot since I last played 4 years ago. There will be peaks and valleys, and right now we can see where we're at....

I feel rather confident that activity will pick up again in the future, as it has every other time activity has dropped off in the past.

I came at the peak of activity (no pun intended), so I haven't really known a slump until now.

They tend to happen around the same times each year, beginning of school being a big one cuz no one is able to get on with all the HW.

I noticed that too. Before summer hits there tends to be a slump in activity too.
Spring break i'm tellin yah is when it starts to rise back to normal dips a slight before summer then spikes at it's peak almost out of nowhere.

I think it activity has dropped because we are too mature... I know how lame that sounds, but think about it. If you post something, and someone attacks it, you don't feel like wasting the energy to fight back, so you just ignore it. And being that the "attacker" doesn't have something else to attack, he has to just stop. The only thing recently that I have found that even begins to be considered an argument is the one Wed-G posted regarding the atheist guy! And even then that is only, what, 2 maybe 3 pages long? 1 for me, because I have 50 posts per page on display, but that doesn't matter...
Now, not saying that this should become a debate forum, or an argumentative forum... but like in the News Forum, the only new thing up there was a damn Victoria's Secret show, and that was it for the longest time. What about Octo-mom? What about the guy who murdered his wife's family, then himself after setting their house on fire? What about the California Politicians who just passed a bill to raise our taxes to unprecedented rates, when we can't even afford the shit we have to pay now, AND we aren't getting our tax returns? Alright, that last one, I admit, should have been me, as I think I am the only Californian here, but these other stories I am sure you guys have heard of right? Or what about the guy who captured illegal immigrants in his yard, and held them until Border Patrol arrived, and they SUED him!!! Over 10 years, he caught over 1200 illegals, who would trash his yard, leaving waste everywhere, slaughter his cattle, then some mexican law firm has the gall to sue him, because he carries a rifle with him as he patrols his yard!
If this is only news that California hears, I'm sure you guys got something happening that is news worthy...
As far as video games go, I think most of us have reached a point where the games don't become a difficulty anymore. We buy a game, beat it in a week, tops, and don't hardly ever need help with it. And being that new people aren't showing up, we can't off our advice or anything to the young'ns who may have trouble with a part. Also, games are fairly linear, so you can't really be like, "How do you kill the Scarab in level 8?" and you go, "Well I was posted up on the rocket launcher and just shot forever until he died," and another person can chime in and go, "Really? I thought it was taking too long, so I ran up, blew out his knees, scaled the beast, slayed the enemies, and blew up the reactor..." and still a 3rd person can tell how they did it their way. It's usually a "How do you kill the Scarab?" and you reply, "Blow up the reactor. Done" and the thread is done.
At least those are my thoughts...

As the wise saying goes, if you wait for an idea to happen and expect others to accomplish it, you might as well do it yourself.

I meant more like a design I can use for the custom bumper stickers and shirts.
Oh I see. I smell a Zelaron contest?

I think so. I'd be willing to buy a 10 pack of the bumper stickers and would mail them out too.

I agree, advertising Zelaron in public is stupid, keep it on the interwebz.

Granted that I don't act the same as I did when I first started posting here, but there are some things I've posted in the past that they really don't need to be reading...
