I have it, and couldn't be more miserable. When I went in to the clinic today I could barely walk. They had to hook me up to an IV before I was cleared to go.

Fucking great timing too. Luckily my professors are being very understanding. I hope I'm not in too much of a daze so that I can do my homework and at least make it to some of my classes.

On a good note, my girlfriend just got me a bunch of OJ, jello, applesauce, bottles of water, and popsicles. Hopefully after I take the steriod I was prescribed a few times my throat swelling will go down.

Anyone else ever had it? I'm so exhausted and I've napped almost all day.

I've never had it but my sister did.

Also when I was in high school a girl had it, and they told her she only had to come for half of the day for the rest of the semester.

My advice: Get a lot of rest and make sure it doesn't get worse (Chronic Fatigue - some of my relatives have had it).

I've only ever had Strep. The last time I did the doctor said I should think about getting my tonsils out...but...I brushed it off.

Mono can be a bitch. I would plan to be more or less out of commission for two months. Never had it though, just going off observation.

I'm pretty bummed about not being able to play soccer for awhile, but I don't want my spleen to rupture. My hope is that I can at least be functional in a few weeks, and not lose too much weight. It's going to be rough, but oh well. Just been sleeping and drinking lots of water.

Same, except the girl I knew ended up getting Chronic Fatigue and is now home-schooled.
