I got a Vizio hdtv for Christmas and I'm now thoroughly perplexed.

Apparently they don't make (according to a guy at best buy) 1080p 26" Vizio's. This goes against what my PS3 and TV tells me. Using HDMI, my PS3 scanned and set it at 1080p (perfect picture to me.) Also, when switching between my computer and my ps3 it says "HDMI 1 1080p FHD".

I checked Vizio's website and found that it ISN'T 1080p... but it is...

Wtfbrainfuck?

EDIT: It also tells what output the current game is putting out eg. 720p for GTAIV, COD4 etc. and 1080p for PoP and Bioshock.

What does the FHD stand for? Full HD or Forced HD?Also, I thought that most 1080p's were really 1080i's only slightly modified or something like that through a software or codec before going to the screen...

Full HD. I thought it might be "Forced" but internet sources say otherwise.

The Vizio 26" LCD HDTV uses 1080i HD as an input format (along with 720p HD, 480p DVD, 480i standard TV [Source (http://www.associatedcontent.com/article/411622/vizio_26_lcd_hdtv_review.html)]).

Well then... I guess it's obvious what's going on here...

Your "i" has gotten cold and curled up on itself, resulting in what looks to be a "p"...
