Yo soy muy nervioso. My show is debuting this Friday and I'm just hoping I don't fumble up my lines during the show.

Best of luck, Kagom!!

I've not had much time around recently, so I might have missed it - what's the show about? And what part are you playing?

This is probably a play, not a TV show.

Idiots.

My play is debuting this Friday.

Oh wait, we are idiots because we assumed show meant show... wow how irresponsible of us.

Y'all best chill =o

It's a play, not a TV show. And I'm in Stalag 17, a dramedy about POWs trying to escape an Austrian prison camp during WW 2. I'm Hoffy, the barracks leader.

Tee hee...Hoffy.

So.... how'd the first performance go, Kagom? Good reception, audience, and all that? And most of all, did anyone send you flowers before the performance?

On that subject... well, not really, but I need to get OTS in... so on that subject, how did/do/are you dealing with the nerves? I expect that they'll disapper after a few performances, but until then I'm interested in your methods.

Went very well! We haven't had much of an audience, sadly, but they number increases with the shows coming. And as for getting rid of my nerves: they just go away on their own. I'm always nervous the first show, but once things get started, that quickly melts away.

Sorry to double post, but anyone interested in pics from the play (with me in 'em) go to http://mcalnan.fotki.com/theatre_photos/stalag/081114/ (and for fun, one with me being bloody and bruised: http://mcalnan.fotki.com/theatre_photos/stalag/081114/pb140218.html )

Cool! The makeup looks believable... either that or they really beat you.

How many performances will you be doing of the play?

Jessifer

Yaay!

I was pretty happy with the makeup as well. And we did a total of 6 performances. The last one I screwed up one of the lines, though, but it was funny :X

Not bad KJ! Takes some guts to get up in front of people and perform.

I can see it now. "The germans are losing. Their cocks are being bombed as we speak, oh shit!" :P

Looks like a pretty snazzy production, you guys did a great job with the set. Kudos.

How'd you mess it up?

Something super silly: I walked up to Sefton and went "Does it bother you that much to see Sefton get out?" when the line is supposed to be "Does it bother you that much to see Dunbar get out?" Good thing is: the guy playing Sefton didn't notice. :D

I bet only 25% of the audience noticed, too.

Possibly. But the "You get things mixed up" line was funnier than it was meant to be that night.
