Need help with pop-ups. Whats the best way to get rid of em

I really didin't know what forum to put this topic in, so i put it here :P Anyone know the best way to get rid of pop-ups? I'm getting a lot of pop-ups... every single type. i get auto-repair pop-ups, nick pop-ups umm game pup-ups, porn pop-ups can anyone help? i mean seriously, i can't browse the web without a (pop-up just came up) pop-up coming up. If anyone has the solution i would be extremely gratefull

If that's not possible, then run your standard Spyware and Adware checkers (Spybot, Ad-Aware, AVG Anti-Spyware, and there's a new one called MalwareBytes which seems to pick up on everything), and do a bit of house-cleaning (clear your cookies, history, temp files, etc). It'll also be worth finding a Pop-Up Blocker.

Keep your OS updated to avoid vulnerabilities. Also keep your java and adobe up-to-date.
