View Full Version : Fire-proof server?

I'm thinking about setting up a server at home to host a few websites (no, not Zelaron). I live on the ground floor, so I don't like to keep my windows open while I am away, which I usually am half of the time. My air conditioning cannot fully keep up with the heat generation of my archaic 2.4 GHz server, thus making it more of a hazard than most of my other electric appliances.

Does anyone have any particular advice about useful, fire-proof server models, or ways to minimize damage in the event that the server combusts?

Invest in water cooling.

A sprinkler system? I also hear that wormhole-based heat dissipation devices are pretty useful.
