I went to see a final boss that is gigant... extremly hard... badass looking... and has a purpose to be the final boss.

Legend of Dragoon is an amazing game, you should try that out SYG...
and Ultimecia actually had a reason there... Ultimecia didnt just POP out of nowhere at the end... if u have been paying attention to the game during the actual gameplay, you should have seen some scenes where Rinoa stands there( at the end of the second disc after the fight against Edea) Ultimecia uses Rinoa and after that she leaves her body and make her go unconcious, she thought Rinoa could be the sorceress she was looking for and she was right... so Ultimecia is the creator of all the sorceresses and make them bad... there was a reason for Ultimecia to be there in the game... she wasnt just a boss that no on knew about until the end of the game... seriously if you dont remember start the game over and beat it again, ull be surprised... to sum it up, Ultimecia is there for a reason, Necron isnt at all... we never even know even a bit about him during the gameplay except at the end, Sephiroth i have no clue cuz i didnt beat the game yet and sin and Tidus's dad... well i think there is a reason for them.

btw, Raziel i just borrowed FF7 from a friend(HLomegasin)... im starting the game right now! and THEN ill see who i think is a better villain... so im not quite sure yet. :)

The last boss really disappointed me... unless u do 9999 per character, he would just heal 9999 HP and when one of ur character dies... everyone has Auto-life on because the "Fayth" gave them or something and never dies.... so the battle could go on forever :( the battle wasnt very fun... but the summoned beast battle was fun cuz i luv fighting just an aeon vs an aeon... sin(Tidus's dad, not the armor sin.) was really easy... cuz all u needed was Anima and Magus Sisters and attack away. What I meant by Ultimecia coming out of nowhere is that she wasn't a very active villain. If you want to be technical, Zeromus had a good reason for being the last boss in FF4, but he didn't actually show up in the game until the very end, much like Ultimecia. I like active villains like Kefka and Kuja. The ones that keep fucking with you throughout the whole game.

i couldn't have put it better myself. Kuja is a fruitcake and would therefore lose. Sephiroth, on the other hand, was the first of the "bosses with feminine tone and streaky hair", so he was a fairly original creation, and his character had a much better explanation than kuja. Don't count kuja's ultima because it was just for cinematic effect.

FF3(or 6) is a SNES game and i wanted to play all the FF games, so i was searching through the net and i found an emulator for SNES and FF3, Chrono Trigger and stuff.

I started off of FF8... the FIRST FF game ive ever played. It was grade5 when i got into this whole FF thing and glad i did :)

Aw God, FF8 was your first one? I'm sorry, dude. You own a Playstation don't you? Go buy Final Fantasy Chronicles. It's FF4 (FF2 American) and Chrono Trigger in the same package. FF4 has been COMPLETELY re-translated, and has new FMV sequences. Chrono Trigger has about 13 new animated cutscenes and A LOT of bonus material. It's definitely worth picking up.

yes, you are right, but he just looks so... gay? ... Seph will be owned, yes, because he's a pathetic excuse as the final boss and I admit, Kuja is somewhat challenging... hell, all the final bosses are simple. But Sephiroth... the long sword is the only thing that matters... the long sword. And I think I'll stick with the long sword in this case. Planet-destroying-magics are nice if used by a guy that doesn't look like a homosexual. Heck, why didn't they just make Kuja a female! Frankly, I liked Kuja's design. It was very reminiscent of Kefka's rather androgynous appearance. And so what if Kuja went "good" at the end? Vader became "good" at the end of Return Of The Jedi, and he's the most badass villain ever. Kuja did things in the game that were ten times as evil as anything Sephiroth ever accomplished. I would much rather have a super-evil villain that goes soft at the very end, instead of a pretty lame villain that stays pretty lame the whole time.

Personally, I knew Kuja is a male from the start, and I think he looks cool that way. He made a really good villain, we see him in the game a lot of time and couldn't stop him (or failed to stop him), the amount of destruction he's brought is far more than some of the other FF villains.

Also, he trances, just like all the main characters in the game, which makes him really stand out.

In order to understand the better villian, you also should take into account who defeated each villian. Sephiroth was defeated by Cloud. Kuja was never defeated, instead he became "good," joining a 3-4 ft. tall "monkey boy"(also pink while in trance). I must also say that FF IX was created after numerous complaints about FFVIII having too much modern technology, and not enough air ships. If anyone has ever played the original FF on the NES, you will notice a great deal of similarity between both story lines of FF and FF IX.

Also, both Sephiroth and Kuja were able to destroy planets (Super Nova). Sephiroth did not just have a "big sword," although it does add to his appearance.

Kuja permanently eradicated Terra using Ultima. Sephiroth's Super Nova summon "destroyed" the same damned planets every time he summoned it. None of them were permanently wiped out, therefore Super Nova's planet destroying capabilities were nothing more than cinematic flair. Kuja wins in that argument, no contest.

Kuja wins period. The only reason Sephiroth was even alive in FF7 is because when Cloud tossed him off the edge of that mako reactor bridge, he just so happened to end up encased in Materia. Had circumstances not been just right, Sephiroth would have been found himself dead at the hands of an "inferior" being.

Kuja actively outwitted and outpowered Zidane and his party throughout the entire game. Not once did the heros manage to best Kuja until the final encounter. He's the better villain, hands down.

Cloud and zidane are supposed to be tragec heros who overcome their problems and become strong enough to beat the enemy(Kuja and Sephiroth) Yet only Cloud managed to kill his archenemy. Also it was a one-on-one fight between cloud and sephiroth in the end. Do you think Zidane could have beat Kuja in that kind of fight? Kuja would destroy Sephiroth. The whole "you have to choose a certain set of rules" idea is pure crap. This isn't a Zel Melee discussion, therefore we assume they both have acces to everything they could use in their respective games. Kuja just trances, keeps himself in mid-air and destroys Sephiroth with an endless volley of magic. Sephiroth was a wiener, Kuja was the man. The end.

I dunno. Kuja was certainly very evil, and even if he's a Sephiroth clone (with the silver hair), he's certainly got more aces up in his trumpet-like sleeves than Sephiroth has in his own. Kuja was evil because he was sane when he did all those horrible things to the poor people of Gaia (and your party for that matter....never want to see chain Flare Star combos ever AGAIN~~~!!!) and made planets explode. Sephiroth was just contented with blowing up one planet. But then again, Sephiroth couldn't be harmed by any sort of spell (remember that bit when Cloud had to accompany Sephiroth up Mt. Nibel and Cloud was this wussy, pathetic wimp who dies with one measly attack from any monster?!); the spells monsters cast on him had no effect whatsoever.

I actually like Kuja's poetic ramblings; he makes up for this classic psycho villain who just had to spout Shakespeare or something and be completely evil about it without really trying too hard. That makes him very intelligent. And he doesn't have to go all out on one battle; he is cold, calculating, and wouldn't do anything unless he has completely seen through all your strengths and weaknesses...and for a boss, that is a real recipe for disaster.

Sephiroth, on the other hand, is completely misunderstood. He just wants to find out if his existence wasn't just for nothing, that was why he has your FFVII party whacked out several times in the game. Then he kills Aerith. (I guess he can't stand anybody with more gorgeous hair than he has....:P) Then he goes challenging Jenova, and then ultimately, Cloud himself on that one on one battle.

Ultimecia's been hiding all throughout the game; first, she tries using Edea, then second, uses Rinoa to do her evil bidding. No wonder SeeDs were dispatched to control sorceresses because of the uncertainty that they may become all whacko. Well, Now you got me starting on FF I have mastered the set from the start to the 10th game. They have all been my favourate sorce of gaming. But the best one was FF7, Sephiroth owned all and was the best boss to fight in any of these games at the end. But the funnest was fighting the Weaponz Diamond,Ruby and I forgot the others I guess I gotta pop the game back in and play some more been 2 year's since I played that sweet game. So you see each loop she become strong after ? Loop she will end up winning !

The way I MEANT about Kuja is a Sephiroth clone is because he has the same suave elegance that he has that is otherwise missing in other RPG games in terms of a good villain. And yes, the hair color counts. Come ON! Would you have noticed Sephiroth if he was just a run of the mill VILLAIN?!

Kuja has the Nova/Silver Dragon and Flare Star and Ultima, and Sephiroth has those forms to keep him busy. But Kuja on S. Dragon could just dodge all attacks. Or he could cast a magic-nulling barrier of some sort. And YES he could do his attacks LONG RANGE~~~!!!

Ultimecia's hiding in the entire game, she's working behind the shadows. Ellone (the girl with the power of time compression) was her key to get to more powerful sorceresses throughout the entire timelines to make her do her EVIL bidding. And yes, gain more power. Rinoa freed Adel (who mysteriously looks like a drag queen) who was the most powerful sorceress of all time (she was sealed in that frigging tomb way up outer space so that she wouldn't be able to harm people who don't like her...) so that Ultimecia can wreck havoc on the poor people of that world. When Ultimecia was finished with Rinoa, she gave her to that freak. They were fused some sort. Using both Adel and Rinoa, Ultimecia almost wiped the SeeDs out of existence. She didn't count for anything like the final battle to happen, because Squall saved Rinoa. And it's just my opinion.

Square didn't fully explain why Ellone had such power. Was she also a sorceress of some sort?

Considering that every time he casts that spell, he destroys the exact same star and series of planets, no, it's nothing like "almost destroying the world." The events of that spell are there for cinematic effect. Kuja actually destroyed his home planet. He did it once and it stayed destroyed. Kuja would obliterate Sephiroth.

Doesn't Kuja just know magic? So not only could he heal himself, he could barrier and shell himself to further protect himself from Sephiroth.


You guys have also forgotten he can control creatures from the mist, and I think make them too. He also has an army of Black Mages.

Sephiroth is extremely strong too, but he doesn't have as many advantages as Kuja. I think the only way Sephiroth would win is if he got close enough to Kuja to use his sword, but I think the chances of that are slim considering all the advantages Kuja has at his disposal.
