Ok, For some odd reason everytime I click on a tab in my firefox browser, it goes to it and then reloads the page. This didn't start happening till this morning. Anyone know why?

Hmm, that's very odd. I've just look all through the options, and don't see anything about that, so I don't think it's a setting that you have off. Have you recently upgraded firefox or added any new add-ons to firefox?

Nope, I still have the default firefox theme as a matter of fact, and this firefox isn't the 3.0. Should I upgrade?

That really depends on preference. I like FireFox 2 better than the the beta 3. I really don't have a clue about the tab issue, but as far as the version, that isn't your issue.

All tab is supposed to do in FireFox switch over a clickable link and button you can push/press. Did you accidentally set tab to doing something different in the control panel?

No no, he means that when he has multiple tabs up in firefox, and he clicks on one to open it up, it refreshes the page that is in the tab. I don't think he's talking at all about "tab" on the keyboard.

Oh, well, that's just odd. I just found out about the themes thing 3-days ago and put on a I.E. theme so that I could open up page tabs easier. So far I like it. Try to put on a new theme like the one I have on and see if it works. If all else fails get Internet Explorer 8 Beta 1. I am starting to like it better than FireFox. It fully supports CSS and the outcome is as good as FireFox, if not better sometimes. I am, for once in a long time, proud of Microsoft.

This (http://support.mozilla.com/tiki-view_forum_thread.php?comments_parentId=49703&forumId=1) might be helpful to you. Are you using whatever this "skype extension" thing is?

You just got it this morning, and neglected to mention it, and never figured that it might just be the issue. Aw, whatever, very nice find though !K_A!

I'm like an I.T. guy. I already gave up already by stating, "aw." Sorry for any inconvenience on your behalf.

I am just really packed with homework so that I will have only 2-classes next year for 12th grade. Packed = Stress, Stress = Short Fuse = Short Fuse = Smart Ass.

Oh hey Coriander, FireFox Beta 3 may have sucked, but Release Candidate 1 was released recently, I think. It is even better than IE 8 Beta 1. Why oh why does the good just keep gettin' better.

Even though I do believe FireFox 3 RC1 is faster and has not as many issues as IE 8 Beta 1. I do think that both browsers are top notch.

Example of Internet Explorer 8 Beta 1 site that doesn't work. http://w3schools.com/js/default.asp

Example of FireFox 3 not supporting a tad bit of either CSS or Javascript, I've yet to take the time to look into the code

http://chat.zelaron.com/forum/mychat.php?

(to the right of the message you post is the color, it is black in FF3, while IE 8 shows it as the proper color)

Those are some of the problems I've seen with IE8. Also, IE8 is a bit slow. It just lags a lot, and tends to leave one box when writing Decimal and Hex HTML unicode format for no reason, even though the second time I write the same character it appears with no problems.

FireFox 2 = Takes a lot Memory (Problem for Some Laptops)
FireFox 3 RC1 = Handles Memory and overall performance far better than IE8 and FF2. Loading Speeds in Pages have improved.
Internet Explorer 7 = Takes not nearly as much memory as FF2, but supports far less CSS than more standard browsers.
Internet Explorer 8 Beta 1 = Rocks, but has some serious lag issues.

Get FF3 RC1 Coriander, it will rock your world more than IE 8!

I'm like an I.T. guy.

A real IT guy would have asked if he's tried a restart yet and, if the answer was "No", told him to restart.

Anyway, strange that an extension would cause that much trouble. Glad you got it sorted, Cori.

Actually, he never got it sorted. He gave up and installed IE 8. I was telling him about FF3 that way he could have a choice between two very good browsers. Preferably, right now until IE 8 has worked out all of the bugs, FireFox 3 RC1 is the way to go.

Kinda funny that he didn't mention the extension at all though.

I gave my reason as to why I didn't post it. And Besides, Like Lenny said, The Extension wasn't what I thought the problem was. Plus I don't see why it would have caused so many problems, but, whatever.
