That's an opossum. A marsupial.

Funny, but it looks edited
Is this something you found in your neighborhood? Heh. I'm pretty sure even the uneducated would know that is not a cat.

i found this one at snopes.com:
Idiots post flyers on city streets.
Claim: Flyers with an opossum claiming to be a cat show up on city streets.
Status: False.
Examples:

Those yokels in the south/midwest are at it again, this time posting flyers of opossums claiming to be cats. The idiots once again try to provide some humor to us superior northerners by appealing to our obviously increased intelligence. They fail yet again.
First of all, even the most uneducated redneck of the south (which is everyone there) can differentiate between a cat and an opossum. The racist slackjaws down there would likely have more of a problem trying to tell the difference between a Mexican and an Arab than a cat and an opossum. This flyer falls short of the standards we set here at snopes.com.
In case you are stupid and inferior enough to confuse the two, remember that cats do not have long noses. Nor are they vicious vermin. It is quite alright to eat cats if your culture allows you to, by the way. This reminds me that one time some racist asshole sent an email about how Africans confused a bag of catfood with a picture of a cat on it as if it was cat meat. As if the entire continent of Africa was that stupid, nevermind that it's just the blacks.

To be precise, the word "male" is clearly edited in. Whoever did it is not very experienced.
