What are you afraid of? I have a fear of being afraid of heights, sometimes referred to as Illyngophobia.

Heights here too... well, fear of grounds. I'm not comfortable up ladders, for instance.

I'm also shit-scared of water deeper than my waist. I can't go to the swimming baths, I can't go swimming in the sea, and I absolutely abhor boats.

Stop it, you're aggravating my fear of being afraid of heights!

I was almost attacked by a giant orange octopus at the beach, although I still love water and being in water and drinking water.

The ocean is a pretty scary thing to swim in. Waves, sea creatures, rocks.. it's very risky. I like it, though.

Last time I was in the ocean I got owned hardcore. I was body boarding without a board and I guess the waves were a little too big to be doing that... Anyway, I caught a monstrous one and ended up getting pretty far until the wave crashed and I got sent to the bottom of the ocean floor. Ended up on the beach with a bloody face due to the sand that was embedded in my skin. Good times.

Ah, a fear of being afraid of heights. I read it as simply afraid of heights.

Now that's an interesting one. Any idea how it came about?

Ending a terrible story with "good times" will not get you any e-poon, I'm afraid.

Because of assholes like you!

It is a thing of guys who play guitar around small campfires [and always a carry a guitar with them just for this opportunity] to tell outrageous stories of disaster and end with "good times." Women fall for this until they are approximately 27 years old.

So I've got another 6-7 or so years for this amazing, hilarious stunt to work. Thanks for enlightening me, Grav! You're the best.

Women age faster where you're from, probably because of all the rape. Good times.

Indianapolis is a hotbed for raping activity?

I'm too handsome to be raped!!!

Just so you know, The Onion has got you all figured out. Here's the description of Indiana from "Our Dumb World:"

Hooting and hollering in overcapacity crowds, Indianans cherish the art of watching stuff, be it the Indianapolis 500, a basketball game, or even themselves looking like a complete idiot on the JumboTron.

Besides looking at the world's most well-loved paved oval, the citizens of Indiana also enjoy looking at home movies of their families watching auto racing, and love to curl up and look at a good book lying on the coffee table.

And over the past several decades, all of Indiana has watched from the comfort of their own living rooms as neighboring state Illinois grew into an economic powerhouse.

Auto racing is not my thing. Most people here love it, though. Personally, I haven't spent 5 minutes of my life watching cars go round and round 250+ times. Seems boring to me.

Although, that last statement is pretty true. Just take a look at my "Location". I won't deny it.

I'm afraid of heights, and I didn't particularly like it when I started swimming from the shore in Virginia Beach. I just don't like the idea of water flushing into my lungs and killing me.

I'm not a fan of height or bugs, but I wouldn't say I have a phobia of either. I can handle it.

I have a fear of heights and I hate being on ladders, but I have to be on ladders to put shit up or scan things out to put on the floor. So I kinda have to pretend I don't have that phobia.

I'm not afraid of heights, or falls ...it's just the sudden stop at the end of a fall that worries me :D. I don't like swimming in water that's deeper than my shoulders. I'm a tiny bit of a germophobe. It's all in vain, but still ...

Heights.
Used to have trouble with water. Not so sure anymore. Haven't been swimming in a while. Both chlorine and salt water cause me to itch like a bastard. Dry skin or something.

I personally love heights; Bungee jumping, base jumping, sky diving, etc are all incredible activities in my eyes. I am afraid of spiders, arachnophobia.
That's really the only thing that I have come across that scares me. I was traumatized by them at a very young age. Filthy bastards.
It's really not so bad anymore, but when I was younger it was quite horrible.

HandOfHeaven
2008-01-02, 08:15 AM
Can you watch movies with them in it? My brother had a tough time getting through all the LOTR movies because he is also afraid of spiders. Can't say I like them, but they aren't really doing much to me.

Thanatos
2008-01-02, 08:50 AM
My ex-roomate would FLIP if he saw a spider. Like stand on the couch screaming flip. I'd have to kill it for him.

Then call him a bitch.

I've a fear of heights, but BIG heights. Same with water. I don't fear pools and things, but the ocean is a big NO NO for me. Not always, but I tend to fear spiders and rats.

The second two are links to threads with lists of phobias, not what people are scared of.

And the first link is nearly four years old.

Can I ask what your point is with posting the three links?

Oh, sorry. I'm actaully somewhat 'phobic' of heights. I don't think necessairily it's being up high, but more-so the fall/death of the impact that I am scared of, which would make more sense...

I'm afraid of sleeping and waking up with bug on me :(. 'Cause one time I slepped and something bit me right between my nuts. I woke up the next morning but didn't find out until I scratched 'em because the bite was kinda big and numb. I almost thought I had a case of elephantitus on my nuts.

Good times.

HandOfHeaven: Yes I can watch movies with spiders in them, but sometimes I get a little itchy.

Thanatos: That is pretty much how I am during the initial shock phase, but that clears up after about two seconds then I am able to kill it, though I am still terrified as all hell.

I've always wanted to have one big group sex like me and a few homies and like 1-2 girls.

Lenny
2008-01-04, 07:10 AM
You and a few homies... so let's say four guys, including yourself. And 1-2 girls?

Either your homies swing, or you want yourself a good ole fashioned gangbang, right?

---

Talking about gangbang... some of you might find this offensive, but whatcha gonna do? I'm thousands of miles away from you. :)

What's black, has eight legs, and scares women?
Gang rape!

---

Which leads us back to phobias - the phobia of rape is Virginitiphobia, which, I have to confess, is one I don't personally suffer from.

Who hasn't? I remember I was throwing a party at the place I had where I used to live and my stripper friend, Amy, suggested the idea. So off we went, about 15 women, myself and 1-2 other guys. Not a bad ratio.
Ahh, bachelor-times.

I think that was my New Years Eve party, hosted at my old apartment by Allstar Sports Bar / American Diner, "Pimps N Ho's" was the theme. I had 2 kegs, 2 Beer Bongs, 11 bottles of Vodka, 7 bottles of Tequila, 10 bottles of Rum, and 4 bottles of Whiskey. Plus a BBQ.

Sounds expensive.

DaFrigginDoctah
2008-01-08, 09:10 AM
Well, while I provided a majority of the alcohol as compared to any other single attendee, most people brought a bottle or a case or whatever. These are rough numbers to be used as minimum quantities only, not maximum.
I spent about 800$ on this one party.

Not really. I don't mind other people having control of things, as long as I'm not jumped with it.
