An eBay auction for Kronovecta, one of Syd Mead's rarest books which was released in a limited edition in Japan back in 1991, was up to $122 in the last minute. When 20 seconds remained, I bid $450 for it, but was outbid mere seconds before it ended by several buyers, the final price ending at $535.
I am totally obsessed with this book, and I'm uncertain if it will ever be on sale again, without being bundled with some various, expensive laser discs that I don't need.
This sucks. Let me know if you happen to have it at home.
