I've got a pretty brilliant idea for these forums, not necessairily a new FORUM but more-or-less a sticky including rules and regulations, as well as the progress/transformation thread.

Zelaron's Biggest Loser contest.

This is a Weight-loss/Tone-up competition, to make it blatently clear what's going on here.

Why not? I guarantee there are plenty of us out there that aren't too impressed with our current physical situation, even I have gotten way out of shape compared to what I used to be at, and would LOVE to change my ways around a bit, and i'm sure this would generate lots of support from atleast everybody that would consider entering.

There are obviously stipulations that can be panned out later on if this does take off, such as we would assign 2-3 "judges" and they would base their score off of Total Body transformation, as well as tone/lost weight. Etc.

The Biggest Loser contest I would recommend being 16-20 weeks, having a every 2-4week update including pictures/comments of the competitiors discussing if they've kept up with their regime, as well as what they've done to keep on track, etc. This is a community effort that could be very helpful and healthy for the rest of our members. Past all of the bullshit that floats around here this could be a much more positive aspect, and maybe we could throw in donations for the winners, something cool, stuff from the Zelaron store, whatever.

But I feel this is a great idea, if it takes off I'd be ready to throw down rules and regulations as well as sign-up's, guidelines, tons of health information, when and how to post up your before and after pictures as well as the discussions during the 16-20 week period.

Any interests?

"Bulk/Tone-up" is also an option, it's not only a lose weight competition but as well as a tone-up/bulk-up competition. That will have to be pointed out as well as this is really a competition for anybody that is willing to participate.

Yeah I know how you feel, which inspired the thought. I figure we could get 6-8 real participants that want to change their diet if they're overweight and go with a real regime that isn't too hard to keep up with and provide a couple before/after pictures as well as the 'during' process pictures so we can all keep up with everyone's progression.

As well as losing weight, toning up is definately into it. I feel this could be great especially with the extra "Holiday" weekends spare tires being added, getting everyone together to burn it off before spring/summer rolls back around, which will be wayyy sooner than it feels.

So you WOULD be interested in participaiting? There's a lot of chicken's out there that don't want to participate because it would show their true colors, but I feel that it would be really cool for people to atleast try out. Keep it going.

I would participate, but that would greatly decrease my health. Reason being, I hardly get enough sleep as it is, and I'm just too busy to go work out. If I wasn't working full time and going to college at the same time, I'd do it. Otherwise I think I would just degrade my body. I mean, I do push-ups and sit-ups everyday, but I don't go running or bulk up. Workouts I get are walking to and from work and playing indoor soccer once a week for three hours with foreigners.

Eh, the weight loss vs. toning up debate would be pretty hard to call.

Not really. If we actually had some good participation in this we would easily be able to tell through picture progression, as well as toning up, just comparing together alone would be enough evidence to pick a winner, and if not we could always vote.

I'm going to run today when I get off work even though it's freezing outside.
