Just got back from a 7 day Cruise out of Miami, was awesome fun. We hit up Cozumel, Mexico; As well as Nassau in the Bahamas, Honduras and Belize.. Got to see Mayan temples, climb them, go to mexico, Drink, get offered drugs in almost every island from the locals, almost have our tender (small boat that goes from the cruise ship to the island) crash on rearrival from going to Atlantis hotel.

But the trip was amazing, if any of you ever get a chance to go on a cruise with any of the major cruise lines, I would definately recommend it any-day, and for the price you definately get your money back 10 folds.

I was offered a week-long stay in the Bahamas for $600 very recently. I regret not taking it now.

Sounds like you had a lot fun. Your girlfriend go with you? Wish I could go on a cruise..

What drugs were 'the locals' offering you?

Yes, her actual entire family went, parents/brothers. It was a great time, our group consisted of 18 people, we had my family of 5, cousins, grandma aunt's uncles and cousins.

There was a guy coming up to me in Honduras I believe it was, and came up asking me if I wanted some trees. So i'm like "WtF?" .. Trees? And it dawned on me, he's like Yeeaaahhh treessss in his Jamacian sounding accent, I politely told him I don't do those kinds of things, especially in a foreign country. He's like C'mon 'Mon how 'bout some 'White.. and I basically told him I don't do that cheap shit, just messing around with him.

It was pretty fun, messing with the locals was great, we ended up going on a tour though right afterwards up these steep ass hills in this damn mini-van taxi on the side of cliffs, it was actually pretty scary, including that it was pouring ass raining during the car ride, I felt like I was becoming the basis of another Turistas movie or something, but all-in-all we we're safe, good times. I've got a shitload of pictures as well i'm sure i'll show a few on here once I get a chance to get settled in at home and have them uploaded.

They're relatively cheap now-a-days and if you really wanted to go you could, the only stipulations now that it is 2008 is you will need to have a passport to leave and enter the country, which sucks.

As well as needing a passport (which is valid for like 10 years or something) the cost of the cruise can sting a little bit, as well. If you go to one of those last minute cruise ticket websites you can get deals under $200 a person for a 4day 3 night cruise, which is amazing considering you get free breakfast/lunch/dinner with some drinks included.. etc and being able to visit somewhere you've never seen before...

All in-all, if you spend correctly, including to get where your port is located, you can go for under $400 a person including your passport (for the first time around).. which isn't that bad, you'll never forget these times as long as your alive.

Here's a few snapshots from the boat when we pulled into Honduras..

Dude, in honduras we took a bus tour across the whole area, (about 15 mile trip in a minivan).. $10 a person and we stopped at a giant Lizard farm, among other things, got lots and lots of beautiful pictures and had some decent dinner in a country that isn't hailed much higher than any shithole you'd ever go to visit, beautiful place.

The most exotic place I've been is California.

Jesus Christ I desperately want to visit other countries. I don't have much PTO left at work but I might just say fuck it and go anyway. I'm thinking first stop: Spain or The Netherlands

Yes those would all be great, but, after seeing Mayan ruins in mexico, I'm desperately wanting to go to Egypt, all of those massive pyramids...' now which my grandmother/mom/aunt's are going next year to go and see in person, lucky!
