Opening night of our musical tonight (Bernstein's On the Town, if anyone is interested), and it was brilliant! My buzz disappeared (all day my lips have been buzzing if I hit anything above a middle C, and consequently the sound that left the Trumpet was buzzy), and the band played very well. The audience enjoyed it, too! :D

Passed my first year of Uni! :D Three firsts, two 2:1's, averages out as a 2:1 (0.6% off a first! Gutted). The first year counts for jack, but it's still nice to have done well. :)

EDIT: I also won a Carrot Award* (read: a carrot) for Best Hair in the College. :)

*On our college day awards are given out for various things (College Jock, Best Couple, Best Hair, etc). A number of people are nominated and must complete a task to win the award. For College Hair, we had to get as many carrots in our hair as possible - I won with two carrots and a Reef bottle. :)

Went out bowling with friends (read: coworkers) last night, though we ended up spending a majority of the night in the bar listening to people do karaoke. I drank more than I intended to as well, having bought myself two Mikes and a fuzzy navel, and then one person bought a Jagerbomb (which are gross, I can officially say that now) for me after a friend accused him of trying to get her drunk and then told him to get me drunk instead, and then later another coworker bought me a shot of what was supposed to be straight tequilla, but apparently ended up being either a straight shot of either rum or whiskey. That is still up for debate. Alls I know is that it burned like a bitch going down.

And then I met a friend from highschool which I hadn't seen in about six years, and we just clicked like old times. And then all of the girls in my group, and my other friend from highschool, all got up and sang Wannabe by Spice Girls.


And I didn't fall in the bathroom this time.

Granted, it's a shit phone (Nokia 5800), and not exactly what I want (HTC Hero), but if no-one else in the family wants it (Mam and sister are both looking for new phones, and seeing as I don't want it I might as well offer it to them first) I can sell it for about £150, which will leave me with about £100 to pay to get a Hero. :D

The first Nokia I won came today - my mum is really pleased with it. The second should be here for Tuesday/Wednesday, and it's going to my sister.

My sister still wants a contract, so she's getting one, and with it the HTC Hero. Unfortunately, it's the plan up (£25/mo) from what she wants (£15/mo), but I've managed to work my magic to get it down to £17.61/mo. Because I want the phone, I'm going to pay the extra £2.61 /mo on what she is, and I'll pay the £146.50 for the phone. My parents are putting £100 towards it for me, which means that I'll only need to pay £109.14!

In basic terms, I'll be getting an HTC Hero for a quarter of it's price. Massive woop! :D:D:D

Hmmm... good luck! Saying that, strange things are happening this year, not least Portugal, France and Argentina all struggling and looking like they'll have to go into the playoffs for a chance of being in the World Cup Finals.

Yeah, I was surprised at how poorly they have been performing. They are automatically in if they beat Costa Rica on October 10th, though. A couple of big problems is Jay Demerit and Oguchi Onyewu (main center backs) have been hurt. Bradley needs to work on his team's cohesion, and shouldn't be drawing certain people from the MLS like Holden and Bornstein. The simply do not have the experience, but I could see them being farmed for 2014.

Tim Howard also needs to be more confident; but Brad Guzan is a great ace to have in the hole in case something were to happen.

First I get paid, then Burnley beat Sunderland 3 - 1, and now I've upgraded my HTC Hero with the new, superfast firmware. It's all groovy. :D

Watching the Vikings play on a 52' in HD at my friend's place while drinking a 6-pack of Newcastle Brown Ale. Plus the girls are making all the party foods and then leaving until the game is over. Sweet!
