View Full Version : Patriots vs Colts: Vote
Well, it's already that time of year. Even from the begenning of the season you could tell that this would pair up to be an exciting game and over-hyped out the ass. With the Patriots running up the Score and Indy still with a perfect record the over-hype has somewhat of justification.
As for the game itself, the Colts are behind in almost every category as New England has been patting their stats all year, there is NOTHING more I would rather see than Indianapolis get demolished at HOME , but shit doesn't always turn out like you want it to. With that said, I only want New England to win to take some of the wind out of the Colts' sails, slowing them down always helps out my fellow (jaguars) in the AFC SOUTH.
But in all honesty, this is going to be a great game, more than likely it will be a lit-up scoreboard for a majority of the game knowing the two offenses that are coming into this game, and I expect the Patriots to come out on top.

Gee, wonder who I'm rooting for...
We will not lose at home to the Patriots in a game of this magnitude. No way, no how. Our defense is too good to let the Gaytriots 'run up the score.' I can not fucking wait for this game. I'm tryin to get tickets but they're like $350 for fuckin nosebleeds.. guess I'll keep searching though.
COLTS 8-0
PATRIOTS 8-1
Fuckin bring it.

Patriots for the win. Just because it seems like they will go 16-0. Nothing against the Colts, they are a good team, but just not as good as they need to be.

I'm actually kinda glad the American public/sports analysts are slobbering all over the Patriot's balls this year. Gets the Colts out of the limelight (where we've been for the past 3 seasons). We don't care about all the media hype, we just go out there and win games.
That's all we know how to do.

Well, i would love nothing more to see both teams lose, but there is no way the colts can lose here. The only potential problem i see is if Marvin is still out. That would put alot more pressure on Wayne and Clark. If Marin is back, then it will surely be a huge game. Most importantly, the colts will do somthing that the Pats havent seen this year, control the ball, keeping Brady and co off the field. I hate the Pats and would love to see them lose here because if they lose, then they will surely rest all starters in week 16 when they play my giants, where they might want to go 16-0 and play them if they win. Ans at this point, my giants might need the win to get into the playoffs so GO COLTS.

I was thinking the same thing.
Maybe I'm just an asshole but I think if you say "we" in reference to your favorite football team, you should be out on the field with them. Otherwise you're an asshole.

Eh, that's just the way most avid fans are.
I represent Indianapolis, as do the Colts. Therefore 'we' are on the same side.
Saying "we" isn't necessairly a wrong statement. It's just easier to peice togther one's alligeance to his/her team that he/she cheers for. It's simply a statement that inquires they are the "13th" man in football terms, but I wouldn't expect either of you to know that..

Wow, way to just draw false conclusions. I understand your argument, and you're wrong. Good deduction, dumbass.
If you were actually on the team, you can say 'we'. Otherwise it's plain old stupid. "Fans are one with the team". That's the biggest bullshit I've ever heard. Fans don't win games, players do.
Maybe not with soccer where there are a bunch of grass fags that don't have emotion until they score their 2 points for the game.
Have you ever heard of Home Field advantage? Football is a very different sport that relies on emotion, I'm sure playing Madden you wouldn't understand that, and saying that fans refferring to their team as "we" dumb, is absolutely retarded on your behalf...
The 13th man is a very powerful thing that can persuade the motivation of a game and can turn tides vastly, they feed off of it, they need it. It's a very real thing at any level of the game.
Once again, I just wouldn't expect you to understand that..Which once again, this isn't even the agrument, it's much easier for me to say "Our team, my team, us, we" rather than Jacksonville Jaguars every time, our even Jaguars, i'd rather say my team, our team, etc. But this thread has gotten hijacked too much, get back on topic please.

Don't even take a shot at soccer. Have you even heard of Toronto FC? Best fans of the MLS and most supportive this season, and they are an expansion team. They suck donkey balls, even though half the crowd at their away games are their fans.
I have heard of home field advantage. It just means you won't be jetlagged and are more used to your playing atmosphere. Fans referring to their team as we are dumb, because they are not on the team. If I was a Denver Bronco, and the Denver Broncos won, I'd say 'Hey, we won that game'. Otherwise you refer to the Broncos as 'they', as in 'They won that game'.
A game that relies on emotion. Hmm, how does that differ from any other sport? How many times have you seen a team feed off of an injury or shortcoming? Many times. Ugh, you're just too stupid.
13th man? Who's the 12th then? I thought there were 11 players on a side for a football game. Maybe you just can't count.
If you refer to your favorite team as 'we', then you're just an overzealous sports fan that has nothing better to do. I bet the only thing that makes you cream yourself is if your team won.
D3V, what's not to understand? You're a douchebag and someone should lynch you for trying to act smart. Get over it, you've been proven wrong. You're done.
Oh, and you think that you can just say 'get back on topic' because you're wrong? Ignorant bitch.

You think it's wrong to say 'we'. Cool. I'm glad you can form your own opinion. Just because you don't agree with me doesn't mean I'm wrong.

Honestly, the Pats are going to stomp Indy. Even after watching that repeat of last year AFC Championship game where home-boy (lack of remembering his name) picked off the last offensive strike from Tom Brady.. if he hadn't picked that off the tide could've changed dramatically and Colts would've been outta luck.

I'm not rooting for them Thanatos, I just think they're going to win. Like I said early on I hate the Patriots more than any team in the entire league right now, and without a doubt I feel as if they're going to win, the Colts just can't keep pace with them, they're going to pressure the Colts all game and they won't be able to get back on track.
I agree however, I despise the Patriots and wish them nothing but the worst from here out, but the Colts getting beat is always the best option.

Heh, I ended up not being able to go to the game after all. Watched it at my house with about 10 people. The Colts DOMINATED almost the entire game. You've got to give them that. Brady just took over with like 5 minutes left. Seriously, I hope other teams look at this game film closely to realize how to beat the Patriots. We were up pretty much the whole game. But, I've got to give it to them, they came in to the Superbowl champs home with a very hostile crowd and managed to pull one out. Lucky.. maybe.
The Colts WILL meet them again.

It was a good game, not up to the super hype though. Both teams started out strong, but the Patriots had the "Bend but don't break" defense working for them in the beginning, holding Indy to 2 early FGs. Then the Golden Boy Joseph Addai took a short reception a long way to the house. From that point on, it was pretty much a struggle for both teams to get anything going until the last quarter. Brady is definitely cool as ice though, marching down the field both times, with the last drive only taking like 42 seconds. He didn't look phased at all.
Both defenses definitely came to play though, which was awesome. Brady AND Manning had very uncharacteristic INT's, sacks, hurries, etc. Good game.

I loved the Patriots first play of the game. Brady does a play-action, turns around, and Mathis is right up there in his grill sackin his ass. You're right Titus, this game was pretty uncharacteristic for both QBs. Our defense looked strong early in the game, then fuckin Randy Moss decides to play. How do you stop him? Anybody? We did a superb job in at least containing their explosive offense, our offense just couldn't do it with 2 minutes to play.
By that time, I was on my 10th beer, so I wasn't really paying attention to the game. I had to watch the highlights this morning to really grasp what happened. Such a shame. :(

I don't see the Patriots losing their last set of games, therefourth you are incorrect, sir.
Another thing, about 10 minutes (or so) in the Jaguars/Saints game our local coverage suffered a "glitch" where they transferred to the Bengals game, what a load of horse shit. We had just scored a touchdown, they go to commercial, and come back and we were watching the Bengals as Chad Johnson lay around on the ground. Seriously, other teams need to look at the film from yesterday's game. The Colts were up pretty much the entire game. NE has flaws and we pointed those out yesterday. They are beatable. And they will get beat before the playoffs.
I'm going to guess they'll take out a few starters come week 14/15/16

Maybe. Their coach may want to rub it in just a little more to the rest of the league and keep his starters in so they can go for who-knows-what records. He's that arrogant. I seriously hate that guy.
I figured they would've called this game "Battle of the Cheaters". I bet the Patriots video of your plays we're distorted from all the artificial crowd noise you guys like to play on the PA.

I turned it off at halftime when the Steelers were up 35-7. Big Ben looked amazing last night. A commentator noted, "He's putting up Tom Brady numbers!!" Why do they always have to talk about the Patriots during MNF broadcasts? Seriously, every single MNF game they're all over the Patriots' nuts. Tony Kornheiser is a tool.
So D3V, now that the league has officially stated that their was no artificial noise pumped into that game, what's your excuse now? We're just that loud

It was a technical glitch in the CBS production truck. Although, this isn't the first time people have complained about the crowd noise in the dome. We just got some loud ass fans!! I love it. Make a trip up here when Jacksonville plays the Colts in Indy. You'll see how loud it really is. :)

Yeah, I remember how loud it was in my house watching the Jags finish the game 44-7. Yeah, it was loud, all right.
