View Full Version : Jaguars football :(
Let's see.
We've definately gotten off to a rough start. Having a hurt defensive line that can't perform since they haven't even been on the field as a team all preseason or off-season long has definately hurt the team. I can't wait for the day when our guys are back into the swing of things. Because if you look at the stats, we are basically opposite of last year, or passing game is playing great along with the passing defense, but the run defense and running game on offense have slacked behind these first two starts..
Not that i'm giving up on my team by any means as of yet, I will never give up on the Jaguars, they are always going to be my team even if the rest of this city doesn't appreciate how good we have it to actually have a team in our hometown..
Just, we're getting off to a rough start, and it's only going to get more difficult, atleast we have a bye-week after this away game in denver, then another away game immideately following against Houston I belive, who are 2-0, and then not but 2 games later have to play the Colts, and I know Thanatos and I shall be talking plenty of shit for both of our cities/teams/organizations.
I just hope things get better, just felt like venting about the jags really, and shooting shit about sports, feel free to reply with whatever you want.

I haven't watched a Jags game yet this year, but WTF is up with MJD? He's on both of my fantasy leagues and he's blowing more than the Falcons. As I was watching football this week I noticed the Falcons were up on the Jags at one point. I was so elated. Too bad they pulled it out in the end.
If you guys can barely beat the Falcons, you're gonna get rocked by the Colts. But, I have a feeling things are going to get better for ya.
What simply amazes me is how well we we're performing during practice sessions, the preseason went for the most part in our favor, and when the regular season comes we have a bit of drama..
We play Denver next week IN Denver, most analysts are saying it's going to be a real test, but honestly Denver isn't the greatest, they struggled with Oakland. I actually ended up going to the Jags game this past Sunday and it was an excellent, excellent game to watch. It had basically everything I could want out of a football game, and when the crowd really started going ape-shit towards the end of the game, Garrard took the Jags down the field and that was basically it.
I wouldn't be too worried with the Colts, the Jaguars are just having some hiccups, as they do the begenning of every season, things should dramatically get better with all of this talent we have on our teams. Indianapolis isn't even that good of a team, without their throwing game they are shit, because they barerly have a running game and no Defense at all. We'll see what's up come week 7.

Addai is the shit. It's his 2nd year and he's already outperforming most backs in the NFL (better than LT, LJ, Steven Jackson, AND Shaun Alexander just this year). Our defense is actually playing awesome. We've only allowed 1 TD all year. Donno what games you've been watching.
Anyway, somehow my big avatar disappeared. I just wanted to change it to something different. Damnit.
You lost your 100% already like I did, you have to hold it for like a month or some crazy shit. Well Indy is just having a streak, it'll end soon enough. You guys almost got beat by Tennessee as well.. so all the shit talking about us losing to them stopped real fast.

Yeah but you've still got yours. I guess when you change the picture, you lose it. Oh well. I like this one better. haha:killgrin:
No I don't? Mines gone on my screen, sounds like Zelaron is having server issues or something. Give WW a PM or something.
Actually there are some suprising statistics floating around by the Jaguars thus far..
6th Most explosive offense in the League, "Explosive = 10 plays of 20 yards or more"
2nd in points allowed, even with the higher stats, we have held almost at the top.
3rd in Sacks thus far. Pretty good stats so far.
NO INTERCEPTIONS. Can't say that about Peyton.
2nd in the league in turnover per offence, only Buffalo has had only one.
8th in big play passes....
Now, the worst of worst.
JAGUARS ARE THE WORST IN THE LEAGUE AGAINST THE RUN.
That's so horrible to believe, we we're 2nd last year against the run and averaged 6th the past 5 years against the run, just a bad start IMO.
Freddy T and MJD have rushed for a total 135 Yards in two games, which is HORRIBLE.
Only two takeaways on Defense. :(
We definately have alot to improve on, but undoubtedly we have improved in different fields, once we can get our money back together we'll be a much, much better team. Just wait, it'll click one of these days.

MJD needs to get his shit together and score me some fantasy points, damnit!
Yeah, i've got Freddy T on my team as well. Our O-line is still a bit banged up. We'll see how things turn out in the future though..

I was at the home opener against the Redskins.
Mcnabb fucking sucks, his receivers aren't helping him out, and Brian Westbrook is carrying the offense.
I used to Love McNabb I guess being injured and the whole T.O. incident has really rocked your team out there.. :(
Things will shapen up though.

McNabb will get better.
And, as always, Westbrook is a BEAST.

At least the Eagles can rape my Giants. We might be the worst team in the league and could possible go 0-16. I think i might slit my wrists if that happens. Please god at least one win, maybe interdivison win

Nope, they haven't missed the playoffs in like a decade now, had 4 trips to the NFC Championship, 1 trip to the SB, and average about 5 Pro Bowl players a year.
They finally came out playing, albeit against the Detroit Lions. Put up 56 points. Boo-yah! I was at the game too, which was badass. I'm their inspiration apparently. :)

Yep:( oh well last year of contract
Yeah I suppose, what's the word around town? You guys all want him gone right?..
Atleast Strahan came back..
Little update. Jaguars and the Titans have the best records in the league that aren't Division leaders. Pretty good coaching jobs when you look at the statistics of both teams, honestly.
I had the great honor of going to the Chargers game yesterday directly after my 7-day cruise, very exciting game, they're showing a replay tonight on NFL Network, go jags.

AFC South is fucking tough this year. :(
Oh, and: Fuck the Patriots.
56-10? They stomped the bills. We'll see how they match up against the Jaguars in the AFC Championship game o_O .. We did lose our stud MLB Mike Peterson with a fractured hand, he'll probably be gone for 3-4 weeks, but we've got depth, don't worry :)

have the cowboys played the jags yet im not sure.anyway i think it might be tough game for the cowboys.because of our center he made three or four bad snaps yesterday.luckily romo is such a good qb he threw it TO but the DB got a hand on the ball and caused an interception.

Brady heard that Romo and T.O. scored 4 TDs so he and Randy Moss just had to try and beat them.
Jaguars in the AFC Championship game?

"Sports fanboyism is the most overlooked thing ever. They get tattoos, they buy big screen TVs to watch the game, they travel around the world to watch their teams play, they name their kids after players, and it's TOTALLY acceptable in western society. No one says a thing, hell, people encourage it! They shrug off these eccentricities as just the guy thing to do, 'Oh you guys and your football, heh heh.'"
Some guy on digg said that. I thought it was rather to the point.

The term Fanboy itself is ignorant, it's basically a falsified stereotype. When has it been a bad thing to have passion in something? I'm sure you feel the same way about 'food in general', Grav... You're basically going to throw everybody under the bus because they choose to support a team and help fulfill the communities needs of fans being loyal to their team, grow up.
