To introduce myself...

I am someone from Sweden, by accident I happen to know the enigmatic Chruser - same school and all that. I believe I could call myself an "artist" as well.

Hmm, I do not know what is expected out of the new scrapmeat on this site - but I can list some of my general interests:

Adolf Hitler
Cancer
Boats
Super Metroid
8-bit inspired Art
Phyrexia
Books
Religion
Nihilism

Other than that - I am quite random and I like Lost.

Hail Phyrexia!

So, you are trying to tell me that you have actually seen Chruser? I thought he stayed locked in Wetwired's basement. Hmph.

Greetings.

Welcome to the good ship Zel!

Quick question (you'll get it, Chruser'll get it, I'll get it, all the Americans [read, everyone else] won't get it) - who did you want to win Eurovision? No, really, serious question. :p One can really tell something about a person by knowing who they wanted to win Eu...... nah, who am I kidding?

Anyway, welcome!

Well, very few non-European's will get it. :p Didja watch this years?

I wonder who Chruser wanted to win... ?

@Lenny: In the best of worlds, none would have won and they would have all died. Horribly.

Also - King Amazon: Your avatar is horribly disturbing...

Lenny
2007-05-14, 01:16 PM
Nah, not all of them! The Ukrainian entry was pure class! Talent wise, the Greek and German entries were actually pretty good. I just wish that our entry (UK) had died in a horrible plane crash.

And you've got to hand it to the Irish for getting the word "archipelagic" into their entry. :p

KagomJack
2007-05-14, 01:34 PM
I only found out about it after it had aired. So I didn't.

Lenny: You're the second Brit I've talked to who hated their UK entry.

I cut the stem out and kept the flower part.

What's so creepy about it?

I mean, it looks like a pussy, that much is obvious, but it's not "disturbing" or "creepy" unless you're a fag.

Hitler is an interest. Thats new
How's that new?

There are historians that specialize on Hitler. Same can be said for just about anyone famous from the past.

Indeed.

Your post added nothing at all. Spammer =P.

Hitler's the second most written about man I believe. Right after Jesus Christ. I could see where some would have thought he was the antichrist.

!King_Amazon!

A Pappenheimer is a 17th century sword of some sort. It's also the name of some family of witches I think.

KagomJack

Pappenheimer refers to a man called Gottfried Heinrich Graf zu Pappenheim, he was a general I believe, for the Holy Roman Empire. He fought in the Thirty-Years War, along with lots of other guys - including the Swedes. My knowledge on this has been disremembered and fragmented by the year(s) at this art school. In swedish the phrase is "Känn din Pappenheimer", I cannot really explain the meaning - possibly due to poor language skills or something... But I do have this quote I found on wikipedia (also he was a field marshal). Here is the quote:

His name forms the key part of the Czech and German colloquialism; "we know our fellow Pappenheim's". It is used to imply tongue-in-cheek that someone has, is or will be acting in a way that is completely expected.

@Chruser: You know, we have television-technology in the lower levels of the "brook falls"-station. Although it's halls are mostly occupied by that "Atom-man", weird guy - maybe weirder than you. He should be avoided. Lost... Why do you mock me with these questions when you already know the truth!?

@King Amazon: Thank you for changing your avatar, I can now browse this forums without fear of sanity loss (1d6/1d20).

Also, on the subject of Adolf Hitler - my interest in him is not as an historian.

ARGH MY EYES, THE GOGGLES DO NOTHING!

@Lenny: Because Hitler fucking rocks!
The New Adventures of Hitler, part 2 (http://community.livejournal.com/scans_daily/865541.html).
He is also interesting as a person who in the eyes of many people personifies "evil", a concept which I find interesting.

EDIT: Psychrophile

I've wondered that about a lot of people.

Seriously, it looks like a pussy. If that's "disturbing" or "ugly" or "scary" or "stupid" to you, you're probably gay.

It looks like a pussy. Get over it.

It's more that it looks like some sort of Lovecraftian horror. Also, it is too white for the orchidness to be really clearly visible.

Lenny
2007-05-18, 04:52 PM
Oooooh! Another one who has heard of Lovecraft, and probably the first to admit to reading it. :p

Do you read other Fantasy books, as well? In fact, what's the main genre you read?

Yawgmoth
2007-05-19, 07:32 AM
I guess I mostly read horror/fantasy. Although, I try to read all sorts of books, it's just that I became interested in first Lovecraft and then Stephen King so I've read lot's of their works. Thus, I guess they tint the scale. Right now I'm in the middle of a project to read "classics", just read Catcher in the Rye and I'm beginning on Ulysses.

Books = Power = ???? = Profit. Or random.

Also, maybe I should try to post in other threads than my introduction-thread. But this forum is to big, and I am Lazyness, Destroyer of Worlds.
