This means that anyone 7 days away or less will achieve 100% for 28 days 2 weeks sooner than they previously would have. Also, you get the big postbit while you're at 100% untill you lock it in with the 28 days.

Pretty much, if you post for 2 weeks straight starting sometime in the next week, you'll be at 100% activity at the end of those 2 weeks. Then the system will go back to reflecting the past month rather than the past 2 weeks. I don't see why though.

How does it work currently?

Well it keeps track of your history for the past 28 days(it's actually 14 right now, since WW changed it.) You get activity for Visiting once a day, and then for making up to 4 posts per day, so pretty much you get 5 points a day(it really isn't THAT simple, but we'll assume so for my sake of explaination.)

So, you would think that if you posted 4 times a day every day and if I posted 4 times a day every day, you would actually beat me to 100%. At first glance that's how it looks.

But that's not how it works, because how much your activity increases depends also on the very first day in the current 28 days that's being measured. Because that day will drop off, and your new day will add on. So if 28 days ago you had 5 out of 5 points, and you get 5 out of 5 points today, it will in essence just cancel out, until you get to a day where you didn't get 5 points.

Pretty much, even if you visit every day and post 4 times a day, the amount that that effects your activity will vary from day to day, so pretty much in the next 2 days my activity is going to jump to 100% while yours will creep toward 100%, which is why I'll get there before you even though my current activity is less than yours.

I'm sure WW will correct me on any mistakes I made in my explaination.

No, that's pretty much it. Weeks are also weighted differently, so you get losses from days switching weeks, too, but that is inconsequential to your current situation.

It's because the time to 100% is dependant on how long ago your most recent miss was. If you've been getting 75% up untill 5 days ago, then 100%, and another person got 0 up untill 10 days ago, then 100%, they'll have lower activity, but also less time for the bad days to get off their record.

The outside is going to be, once I take some time to adjust the other images, but the inside would look worse anti-aliased, since what it will be touching changes. You'll have to live with it untill IE7 becomes common and you can get away with alpha transparency PNG.

Before WW changed everything you had something like 20 days to go. That was a week ago. So you've still got two weeks to go until you get it permanently, I'm sure of it.

No, before the change, once you hit 100%, you wait a month and you've got the new postbit permanently(assuming you stay at 100%)

Now, once you hit 100%, you still have to wait a month until the new postbit is permanent, and you have to stay at 100% for the whole time.

The only difference is you'll get to 100% faster, you still have to wait a month.

On the stats page, I'm a bit confused. There are people with significantly higher activity than I (Thanatos) who have the same amount of 'days to 100%' as I do, which is 13 days.

Is this to lock it in, or is it time until we get to 100%? Looking at that page, it's hard to find any trend.

Example:

John Doe has 99% activity, but he misses a post. He then has to wait for the whole period to cycle before he can get 100%.

Thus, "time until 100%" is not relative to activity, really.
