Fifth anniversary of Zelaron!

HOLY FREAKING HELL, FIVE YEARS?! If someone stepped into a time machine today, visited me five years ago and told me that this forum was still around, I would never believe them under any circumstances. But here we are, alive and well!

The Zelaron administration has been working hard to improve the community. A lot of changes in the past year have been important but not as immediately notable as, say, the Zelaron Arcade. Many other features, including a new portal, may be in the works, but I am not going to promise too much about that just yet.

A community can never exist without its members, so I would like to raise a toast to you all, for coming here and sharing your thoughts and words with us. What you post on Zelaron echoes in eternity!

I'm sure I'll still be checking it out. Plus, it will definitely spike up a little once Halo 3 comes around at the end of the year. The Dragoon's will probably bring aboard about 15-20 new/inactive members.

Basically there was a vote which Grav won, but whose rules Volls found unfair. Kind of ripped the forum into two. Could have revitalized these forums completely had that not happend.

Won't be same without Raz, though. But I've been on a lot of sites who have had Melee-type forums insofar as you discuss fictional characters fighting. Learned a lot...got into comics. Man does Galactus kick ass. When he's not trying to eat Earth, anyway.

Hahaha, but Raziel was such an overpowering debater, compared to most of hte people that were involved, that the winner was typically decided by whomever he decided to defend. I think without him, the playing field is more even now.

Depends on if it even happens, I'd love for it to. I've also been thinking about starting a writing contest or something as well.

I remember when it first started...dozens of people nominating characters and then hardly anyone posted crap for the fights.

I'd do my best with teh fights I knew about. But I suggest that we make this an all-encompassing melee: not just games but movies, books, whatever. I'll fill most of it with Star Wars fights.

Count Dooku could so beat Darth Malak in a lightsaber duel.
