Things in anime that annoy you.

2) When a series that's supposed to be just plain stupid fun tries to turn serious for an episode or two.

What bother me in Naruto (only anime I seriously got into, beside DBZ :rolleyes: and other cartoon networks) is how the writers treat you like a freakin 10 year old. They have to explain every single thing that happens in detail 5 times over. For example, when the guy who controls his shadow beats opponents. They explain every single thing part of his stategy afterwards, while I'm simply waiting for the next fucking scene.

Ya, but remember your watching it on Cartoon Network and it's dubbed. It's better if you watch it with sub titles.

One thing that annoying me is one thing you know what will happen in the end. Like ever watch initial D 3 or 4 don't remember. Always that leader tell the guy who have treuno 86 if he want to win do this and don't do that. That ruin that anime for me. I only enjoy the first one when he was drifting alone i hated when he joined project d.

What bothers me in a lot of fighting shows, except for FMA which pleases me so. Is that Most of the episodes shorten the fighting. They barely fight. Now you have to agree with me, with shows like Naruto, DB-GT, and the gutted One peice, which shows a bounty hunter, with fricken kids. It pisses me off.

I'm the opposite, I can't stand shows that draw one fight over several episodes. Two, I can understand due to cliffhangers, but when one fight lasts 10 episodes without really going anywhere it just becomes dumb.

I also really hate whiney characters. It's not "deep", it's not "funny" it's just annoying and I want them to die.

Poor balancing between action and story. Load me up with too many pointless battles with villains that exist solely for the purpose of being beaten up, and I'm gonna get sick of it (I'm looking at you, Ninja Scroll series). However, if the series goes for more than two episodes in a row that consist mostly of a lot of blabbity-blabbity, and no action of any kind, I will lose interest very quickly. You need balance, dammit.

Yosh is used in EVERY anime. Its just an exclamation. Like... all right, here I go, kickass, lets do it, woohoo...

I guess the first point that was made in this thread, when the series drags out way to long. For example, Dragon Ball Z. It pissed me off that it took Goku either 3 episodes to power up, or 7 episodes of him just randomly running around in the clouds saying crap like "IM COMING FOR YOU GOHAN," or "KEEP HOLDING ON GUYS, ILL BE RIGHT THERE" and he runs for like 3 more episodes. The grunting bothers me too. If I wanted to watch people scream i'd DL porn.

Ed from cowboy bebop was not whiney in fact I thought she was one of the coolest characters in the show, and the girl form dead leaves is not whiney in fact she was bad ass. Other than that now that I think of it I cant think of any other female characters that are not whiney I never thought of that befor.

Seras in the Hellsing OVA doesn't seem to whine alot. At least a lot less then the TV series. It used to be "WAAAAAH SHES LOOKS LIKE A HUMAN I CANT KILL HER" to taking out her massive rifle and shooting the bitch through the heart w/o much hesitation.

Another couple things I hate (pertaining to licensing)

1. When the OVA or TV version of a series is licensed by a different company than the original and they change the voice actors, usually for the worst.

2. Edited DVDs just plain suck

Two major examples I can think of ATM are Slayers (CPM did the TV series with a better dub while ADV did the movies and changed everyone's voices) and Full Metal Panic (Fumoffu had a few different actors, but I actually didn't mind the voices. I hope that TSR gets the original voices though, since it's a serious title)

Ed is awsome yes but she really doesn't count. Shes just crazy and hella smart. Cowboy Bebop isn't your typical anime really at all come to think of it...
