Well the Pistons are doing very good, after blowing out the Cavs in game 1. However, the NBA has been fucking up the TV schedual with reguards to having that game be in prime time, while the close game was forced to be played at noon pst. Anyone else watching the games?

I'm (was) watching the Lakers, Clippers, Heat and Nets games very closely. I was extremely disappointed that the Lakers did not advance, especially after such a close loss in game 6. Oh well. Lets see how my other teams do.

Well, the Heat and Nets are now playing each other, so I'm guessing one of them will be losing. ;)

I believe you are correct.

I watched the Washington/ Cav's series. Leborn was sweet as usually and Gilbert was nasty too. All i have to say about the Lakers is that Bell scared Kobe. That is all.

How do you figure that?
Titusfied
2006-05-09, 02:27 PM
Because Kobe said, "Bell scared me," in a post game press conference.

GO SUNS!! >.< Time to sweep the Clips.
Raja's the man.

Too bad Lebron has to play a team that plays defense now. He should average around 20 against the Pistons, but its not really going to matter. The Pistons will prolly meet the Heat in the East and Spurs/Suns in the West.

Next round predictions:
Pistons/Nets - I don't give a shit who wins
Suns/Mavs - Mavs win

I don't know . . . San Antonio looks pretty good, even though they lost the last game.

Prediction: San Antonio vs. Pistons final.
Pistons win this time.

Yea, I am just conserend (sp) with Duncan, and Manu being at full health. Duncan seemed to be a step behind for a better part of the game, but when it was on the line, he was able to step up. However, I'm not sure if he'll be able to keep it up for all the games.
Thanatos
2006-05-10, 01:11 PM
I'm telling you guys, the Mavs will beat the Spurs. They are on a roll right now. They shouldn't have lost the 1st game, either. By two points? Spurs got lucky.
MightyJoe
2006-05-10, 10:54 PM
That match-up could be won or lost on a few lucky shots. Its going to be close, which could actually help out the Suns. In the WCF, the Suns will have a slight advantage the first few games, I think.
Thanatos
2006-05-11, 07:45 AM
Suns got blown out last night on their home turf. Uh-oh.
MightyJoe
2006-05-11, 08:22 AM
Yea, Clippers are putting a little pressure on the Suns. But I still think the Suns will take them in 5 or 6, really doubt a game 7 will be needed.

I would love to see Dirk and Terry in the finals. It would be a sweet match against the nets or detriot.

I believe Suns win that series in 6.

I believe Suns win that series in 6.
Clippers were ALL OVER the boards last night! I went to a local watering hole to watch the game... left about the beginning of the third quarter. Suns will wear em down though, sure the Clippers have some defense and big men, but once the Suns get another couple fast games it's over. It's hard to keep the tempo the way you want it for 4 games straight.

I think brand will be the game breaker. As long as he is on the court, they will have problems.

Ya but cmon, the Suns were doing HORRIBLE Sunday and they still came within 1 point in that last couple minutes! Oh I was soo pissed when those back to back 3's went in!

Go Suns! We deserve to win anyway.
Kaneda
2006-05-17, 01:35 PM
OMFG! Who watched the Suns game 5!? OMFG! That my friends is basketball at its GREATEST! I actually turned off the TV when the Suns were down 3, with 3.2 seconds left in the first overtime. I gave up, but then I was like well... it's only 3 points so technically it is possible. I turned it back on right as the time out ended... Once again Raja RULES!

I saw that whole game, man.
The Suns had plenty of opportunities to end the game and they let it slip into double OT. The Clippers won't let them do that again... Suns need to dominate the whole game.
Great basketball game, though. I wish the Pacers played the way the Suns do.
Kaneda
2006-05-17, 02:40 PM
Ya they kind of blew it in the fourth quarter letting the Clips go on a 11-0 run. Ouch. Gotta love those beautiful buzzer beating clutch shots though.

You mean produce offense like the SUns right? Because the defense is terrible without Amare. They only good one is Bell, who honestly should be the defensive player of the year, just because he is the only reason you can say the Suns have defense.
Thanatos
2006-05-17, 08:50 PM
Yes, produce offense. The Pacer's style of play is throw the ball to a post man, everybody else back off past the 3 point line, and watch the post man work.
Fuck that. Where's the teamwork in that? The Suns are the best in the league at distributing the ball and spreading out the floor (much thanks to the two time MVP).

MAn why the lakers have to lose?! Are the Clippers the next to get eliminated? I think the Suns are playing good basketball these past few weeks. I believe that the Lakers and Clippers weakness against the Suns are the pick and rolls of Steve Nash. Steve NAsh was voted Mvp Again?>This year.

i can't believe the pistons lost yesterday. i also can't believe that i have't watched basketball since the playoffs started. makes me sad. now the pistons have to win 2 games in a role to else they're gone.

Pressure is on. Same for the Spurs and the Clippers.
MightyJoe
2006-05-18, 03:07 PM
Piston's shot like 50% in the first two games. Last three its around 35%, they are choking so bad. Hamilton was like 1-9 in the 4th quarter of the game yesterday.

I hope Dallas Wins so bad. They lost by one point last night and couldnt close out the spurs. My boy Dirk will pull through in the next game.
MightyJoe

Yea, Dirk is playing really well. Then again the Suns and Pistons both seem to be struggling.
Kaneda
2006-05-18, 09:37 PM
Meh. I'd just say the Suns and Clippers are pretty evenly matched. I wouldn't say struggling since they are up 3-2, although they might lose the game thats on right now. :(

Common, it's game 7 and it's the boring piston we are talking about, they will win. I predict it's going to be a blowout like game 7 with sun and laker.

2006-05-20, 08:25 PM
i don't know. they seem shaky. but then again, rasheed wallace did guarentee the win....
Kaneda
2006-05-20, 08:34 PM
Ohhh. Thats saying alot there. Rasheed  Wallace
Speaking of blowouts, I hope the Suns can pull another one out of there ass man. Even though it's pretty impossible to compare the Clippers and Lakers in any way. It's probably going to be close the whole game and end up being a 1 or 2 point win.
dirty_sox3
2006-05-20, 09:25 PM
every game that rasheed wallace guarenteed, the pistons won....
the suns....kind of hoping that they win.

How can you call a play for jerry stackhouse when you have dirk on the court. At least let him touch it so yhey can come and double team him so he can pass it off. I was poed but still was an awesome game. It will be a great series.

MightyJoe
2006-06-01, 11:28 PM
Bumpage for the Piston/Heat going to game 6, and hopefully a game 7. If they can shut down Wade, and not shoot 30% ala the whole playoffs, they have a chance.
Titusfied

MightyJoe
2006-06-03, 05:56 PM
Well I live near them, plus I've been to a few games. Plus they stressed defense in the past, however looks like with the new league changes they won't be going back this year.
Thanatos
2006-06-04, 02:05 PM
So it looks like I've been right about Dallas this whole post-season. I said they'd beat San Antonio and then go to the Finals.
Gotta stick with 'em here, too. Fuck Miami/any Eastern conference team. Go Mavs!!
HandOfHeaven
2006-06-04, 03:10 PM
I say Dallas 4-2.

MightyJoe

Meh I guess I'll be the only person, and root for the Heat. However they have a huge problem in being able to contain Dirk, which prolly won't happen, but time will tell.
