So, how do you all think it's going? Your favorites? Predictions?

At the time of this thread, the Colts are scheduled to play in 30 minutes. I can't believe how almost every analyst thinks Pittsburgh is going to upset them. They seem to all jump on the same bandwagon, I've noticed. We'll just have to watch the game and see. I cannot wait.

The Bears/Panthers game should be a doozy, too but I won't be able to watch it because of work. I like the Panthers in this matchup...

Watching the game now... 14-3 Pittsburg. Hopefully the Colts turn it around. I knew the damn Steelers were going to be dangerous. I hate them.

It appears they were all right... atleast the 4th was exciting.

I am somewhat happy with this turnout. Though I do hate the Steelers because I am a Eagles fan, I REALLY hate the Colts. Peyton Manning = Fag!!!

Dungey is an idiot. 3rd and 2 and he makes peyton pass with 2 timeouts and a running abck in James. I would have ran the ball or done a dump pass to james, call a timeout, try at the end zone and then kick. At least he would have been closer. Anyways, it still was a surprise to me that bettis dropped it and Big Ben stopping harper by tripping him around the 50. Great 4th quater. Oh and Wayne is the best reciever to play the game.

Go bears?

Only cause I live near Chicago. I don't watch football.

Umm... No. I'm gonna have to go with Steve Smith there. If you are talking about active players anyway.

Sorry colts fans
They lose to the Steelers!

well i would have said that before watching the bears game. He was impressive. But Wayne has produced since he entered the league where as smith had a few rough years before starting up. Also, on a team where u have to many "franchise" players and still get the numbers he does proves something.

Refs couldn't even save the Colts.. :haha:

We'll see how good Wayne is next year if he doesn't come back to the Colts' and he has a bigger chance to produce. My bet is still with Smith.

:( I can't freakin believe it. After all the SB talk this year the Colts did, they lose to the 6th seed. Way to go faggots, you once again prove that you're choke artists.

By the way, I truly believe that if Nick Harper's wife didn't stab him (WTF!?) he could have outrun Big Ben and made it to the endzone. That one play saved their season.

Bleh, good job Steelers, you deserved to win. I really don't have a favorite that's still playing but I guess go Panthers..!

Yes, he was stabbed Saturday evening. He got three stitches in his thigh and they said he'd be fine. Crazy stuff.

She's a Steelers fan. :)

Edit: I guess she thought the easiest way to tell him was to stab him in the leg so he couldn't run.

I never would have predicted Denver, Pittsburgh, Seattle, and Carolina would be playing for the chance to play in the Super Bowl at the beginning of the season.. I was really rooting for the Colts this year too (Of course, AFTER the Eagles decided to suck..).. :(

i would love to see none of them win. I hate them all. Im going to be really upset if seattle wins cause i just dont like them. If i had to cheer for any of them, then it owuld be for carolina, just to see steve smith to a crazy touchdown dance

sue_13
2006-01-19, 12:39 PM
I also don't like Seattle, Shaun Alexander just annoys me.

It'd make for a good story if Nick Goings had a couple monster games and won the Super Bowl for Carolina. He deserved to get more playing time after how he stepped in and was awesome at the end of last season after all those injuries. Kinda like Samkon Gado this year.

Did you see Vanderjagt on the David Letterman show? He either has a lot of balls, or he justs like the publicity.

Yeah, wtf was that. The Colts will not tolerate that bullshit. You miss a game winning field goal, possibly the biggest kick in his career and he duffs it by a TON.

He's traded.

sue_13
2006-01-21, 08:35 PM
Yeah he choked and he shouldn't have even went on the Letterman show, but he is still one of the best kickers in history. Do you really think he will be traded? It's a possibility I suppose.

gruesomeBODY
2006-01-21, 10:51 PM
he wont be traded due to the fact that he has been clutch for so many years. He just sucked it up that time. And i really dont think its his fault. The coach calls a pass play on 3rd and 2 with James in the backfield. They sould fire the coach becuase if u think about it, he was at tampa for a couple of years then moved to the colts. Tampa brings in Gruden (sp) and they win the super bowl. Maybe if they get a new coach then can possible win it next season

sue_13
2006-01-22, 12:01 AM
So the Colts' should fire their coach who nearly lead them to an undefeated season and built one of the most high powered offenses the league has ever seen? I don't think so. The man's only flaw is he can't win in the playoffs, which could potentially cost him his job, but I can't forsee that happening.

he doesnt run the team, peyton does

Thanatos
2006-01-22, 12:03 PM
That's not true. Everybody thinks Peyton does but Dungy makes all the calls. Peyton may adjust shit slightly, but Dungy has the real power.

Yeah, Vanderjagt is the most accurate kicker in NFL history (true) but seriously, he has the audacity to show up on a heavily-watched TV show after missing his biggest kick? It's as if he's almost boasting about it, the stupid fucker. Him and Manning have had personal problems, too, and the Colts can't have anything get in Peyton's way.

Anyone here watch wrestling? Like WWE? They pay the wrestlers to put up a good fight but end up losing by something gay.

Dosen't this sound familiar? Anyone seen The Longest Yard? Shaving points. It was a SURE victory for the colts. Maybe he had a lot of money riding on the game against the colts and purposly missed the FG?

Just my thoughts

Steelers win! :) 34-17

Pittsburgh's going to the super bowl!

Jake the Mistake made a surprise appearance in this one.

Oh ya, was it just me or did Jake Delhomme look absolutely DREADFUL in the NFC championship game.. looked injured to me. Must be a bad day to be a QB named Jake today. o_O

gruesomeBODY
2006-01-23, 08:00 AM
well, without a running back, seattle was able to guess what was going to happen. They triple teamed Smith every play and left man to man on everyone else, while somehow getting to Jake. They even lost there 3rd string rb in the first half. What a way to go out

Titusfied
2006-01-23, 08:04 AM
Delhomme was throwing the most horrendous passes I've ever seen.. That was a sloppy game, and the fault seriously lies solely on Delhomme. He GAVE Seattle the win..

The Steelers are impressing me a lot more though, and they should win the whole thing, if you ask me.

Thanatos
2006-01-23, 09:20 AM
Yes, I'm pretty sure that's gonna happen. They've won 3 straight games on the road.. not easy in the NFL, especially in the freakin playoffs. Go Pittsburgh?

Titusfied
2006-01-23, 10:24 AM
Yeah, and isn't this the first time that a team beat the number 1, 2, and 3 seeds on the road to get to the Super Bowl or something crazy like that? They are no joke, and they're on like a 6 game win streak right now too!!
