View Full Version : Kuwait's biggest field starts to run out of oil
http://www.kuwaittimes.net/localnews.asp?dismode=article&artid=37595069
However, it is surely a landmark moment when the world's second largest oil field begins to run dry. For Burgan has been pumping oil for almost 60 years and accounts for more than half of Kuwait's proven oil reserves. This is also not what forecasters are currently assuming.
Last week the International Energy Agency's report said output from the Greater Burgan area will be 1.64 million barrels a day in 2020 and 1.53 million barrels per day in 2030. Is this now a realistic scenario?

We'll find a new way to slowly kill ourselves, other than fossil fuels.

They've been developed, merely been repressed and/or patents bought.
They made a car that ran off of rotting vegetables, for fuck's sake.

Didn't they make an air or water powered car? I think it only went like 30 MPH though.

Yeah. Fuck getting to places in half the time. Who the fuck does that. I mean come on, if we can cut all of our drives in half at the price of the ozone, ecosystems, our own fuel, and all sorts of other things, we should fucking do it!
I mean who cares if we are by definition dicking ourselves in the ass for the future by depending on limited resources!

I saw on MTV2 that there was a car that ran on old and new vegetable oil. Probably similar to the McDonald's grease.

I know it will be a terrible inconvience to everyone having to find more suitable/go without transporation but what do you think is happening to the inside of the earth since 620.5 million barrels of its "blood" so to speak is being sucked out per year? We're not going to have alot left to drive on once nature wipes us out. :D :D

The best thing I've heard over the past few days was a report from some Scientists somewhere.
They've discovered that trees...wait for it...wait for it...wait for it...emit a lot of Methane! HAHAHA! So planting trees to reduce carbon emissions adds tot he problem!
ZIIING!

Was it the car that split Hydrogen from Water Molecules, burned it, then had most of it recondense further in the system, making it's consumption incredibly low?
