Have you ever seen that movie, The Talented Mr Ripley?

Lenny
2005-11-10, 09:31 AM
I've seen Ripley's Game...that's a good film. My parents won't let me watch The Talented Mr. Ripley for some strange reason. Apparently it's for the saem reason they won't let me read John Fowles "The Magus".

It's (T.M.R) about a guy who steals someone elses identity right? Stars Matt Damon yeah?

Thanatos

Woah man. Your parents need to take a reality check. Sit down and talk with them and explain, in an adult manner, about why you're mature and old enough to watch/read that shit.

wtf is the talented mr. ripley anyway?

undeadzombieguy

Yeah man, talk to them, because thats just not right (assuming you're a reasonable age)

Lenny

I should be able to watch The Talented Mr. Ripley, it's a 15 and I'm 15. I've seen Ripley's Game and that's a 15 too.

But as for The Magus, I don't think my Mum wants me to read it at all. She says it's psychologically disturbing...and she's a Psychologist, she should know.
