View Full Version : October, and why its shitty
Jamesadin

Last October this is what happened;
Longest friend I had ever had was killed in a car accident
Pet of 12 years put down
Mom gets breast cancer
.... All in one month!
Now, another kid from my school gets killed in a fucking forklift accident.
Is this the start of another round of shitty events in the month of October?

My whole last year really really sucked, so much crap happened that I'd have to spend the night here writing it all out. Someone once said that things have to get worse before they can get better. Things got just about as bad as they could for me, and now things are looking up.
All I know to say is good luck to you.

A forklift accident?
October sucks.

yea last year sucked. I dont want to go into detail but yea it really really sucked
Actually mine is rather shit-tastic right now since my girlfriend is away and my friends are either too busy to hang out or I've blacklisted them for being annoying.

Agreed. October is my least favorite month of the year. It was the month my mom died and on the same day I was...well, yeah. Ya'll already know. I very much dislike this month.
I get pretty uncharacteristically quiet toward the end of the month.

*snort* You're just full of joy tonight, aren't you Grav?
You're full of something, anyway. ;)
Are you accusing me of being full of matter? Because I can absolutely, positively deny that my inner contents have neither volume nor mass.

October does seem to be the cursed month. Pretty much everyone in my family dies in October too. Its wierd, my mom was listing them all last night.

It seems to me that I'm the only one who likes October.
Apart from all the Autumn things, October is one of my favourite months.
Thanatos
2005-10-19, 05:26 PM
That's because you're British.
Lenny
2005-10-20, 10:43 AM
And that's the end of that chapter.
That's always the answer to everything.
Why do I like October? Cos I'm a Brit.
Why do I drive on the correct side of the road? Cos I'm a Brit.
Why do I...erm...yeah? Cos I'm a Brit.
Yeah, but seriously...
I still like October. It ain't too bad a month for me. Signals the end of the first school half-term and the start of the second which finished for Xmas. And there's some other random things that happen, but that's a whole new story.

This should be enough to make everyone's october shitty.

In case plain wanking isn't doiing it for you.
I thought that was what a liver box was for.
Lenny

Judging by the name, with a fleshlight you can do it...and get lit up...?
That's just freaky. What type of mind spends its days designing things like that?

It has a cap you can put on it to disguise it as a flashlight, and whenever you want to you just fuck it.

Well yah. Plus it's much more socially acceptable for a girl to have a vibrator than a guy to have one of those.

hey Jamesadin, you said your mom had breast cancer right? well, have her talk to her doctor about olive oil treatments(ingesting it and at least I think it was olive oil. I lost the article and i'm doing it from memory). I read in a discover magazine that sasilic(spelling check please pronounced sa-sil-ic or at least i remember so) acid in the oil knocks off the cancer properties of the defected cells up to approximately 50% of the total amount of cancer cells.
P.S. are you or your mom religious? if so, say the word and I will pray for her (and you if you want me to) whenever I remember. tell her I said good luck.
Wow, that's... very nice. You know James in real life?

I love the American stereotype.
By the way, don't come here. It sucks.
Lenny

It's not just the Americans that are lazy. On a good non-school day I can get about 9 or 10 hours of time on the computer. During the Summer all of that time was devoted to GW.
Everyone can be truly lazy if you just set your mind to it.

Thanks for the info, sciencekid and welcome to the boards. :) My mom is now cancer free, but she is still having a hard time, she just had surgery and she has to wear a lymphodema sleeve for the rest of her life...pretty much, anyways..
But I'll definatly keep it in mind, both my parents had cancer, and both my grandparents... so that means im probably next in line :\ I'll remember what you said.
PS: Yes, my mom is religious

minor update/correction:
It was oleic acid, not sasilic acid like I thought previously. It is still olive oil though. anyway, here is the link to the actual article entitled "How Olive Oil Helps Fight Breast Cancer". it is the second article down. sorry about that, james(can I call you james?)

P.S. I pray for her also
