View Full Version : Your Best Albums of 2005
List your favorite albums from this year only. And if you list something retarded like Simple Plan I'm just going to delete it and ban you. The purpose of this is to suggest music that someone probably wouldn't find so that they can get a feel for different stuff.
Some recommendations of mine you may not know:
Kaiser Chiefs - Employment
Lemon Jelly - '64-'95
Audioslave - Out of Exile
Sage Francis - A Healthy Distrust
Hot Hot Heat - Elevator
I'm going to update this more, I just don't have a lot of time at the moment.

Kaiser Cheifs - Employment
Franz Ferdinand - You Can Have it So Much Better...with Franz Ferdinand
Razorlight - Up All Night
Bloc Party - Silent Alarm
Louis XIV - The Best little Secrets are Kept
Arctic Monkeys - Beneath the Boardwalk (demo CD)
The Futureheads - The Futureheads
The Bravery - The Bravery
Doves - Some Cities
Madness - The Dangermen Sessions Vol. 1
Oasis - Don't Believe the Truth
Gorillaz - Demon Days
Not surprising that the majority are English bands. It doesn't hurt to try something new, so check a few of the bands out.
There are probably some more, but I can't think of them right now...I have a lot of favourite albums from 2005...at least I think they are from 2005.
Can I put Babyshambles - Down In Albion on the list? It doesn't come out until 15th November, but it's gonna be one hell of an album.

Yes, Volume 160. Volume 1 came out in the 80s, IIRC.

Franz Ferdinand - You Could Have it So Much Better
System of a Down - Mezmerize
Fall Out Boy - From Under the Cork Tree
Louis XIV - The Best Little Secrets Are Kept
Way to ruin my god damn thread Fasci!
I have Silent Alarm but I could only get into it like 70%. I just can't appreciate Oasis either for some reason. Gorillaz always rock my penis but Demon Days was kind of bland after a month, barring Feel Good Inc and Kids With Guns.

Hot Hot Heat - Elevator
Ach, I forgot this one. This one is awesome, too. Better than "Make Up the Breakdown" in my opinion... except for the song "Talk to Me, Dance With Me", that song is amazing.
