This is because there's always a predefined sequence to solving it. All you have to do is get an initial glance and know the formula.

Yeah, that took a shitload of practice though, and just thinking about how much that guy had to remember in his head is making mine hurt. It definately isn't an easy trick.

So your saying all the cubes are the same ? I doubt it.

Uh yes they are.. if its a cube and finished each side is 1 solid color... well umm there all the same

No, they aren't all exactly the same I'm sure, that's why he looked at it for like 30 seconds before he started working on it, he was figuring in his head how to do it, then when he was blindfolded he was trying to imagine it probably. Definately takes good spatial (I think that's the right word) skills.

I can do that...

And when hes not "cubbing" lol he gets to do this. What is this exactly? Looks like a painting of some sort.

I was wondering the same thing.

Yeah, I watched that part about ten times and couldn't make out what it was.

all rubix cubes are the same.. but some not size wise, but that still doesnt change it.. all have 96 squares with 16 of each colour on there.. and move in the same direction.. he was only positioning his fingers on certain colours so he remembers which way to turn what.. its like almost like using a keyboard without looking except 10000000 times harder.

Ya but do all the colors start out in the same place when they come from the factory? So do they all have the exact some completion sequence?

i hear somewhere, there is a predefined solution like it will say hold the white center square towards you, now rotate the right one down twice, something to that extent

PureRebel

for that to be done it would have to be in a certain spot. i made a new friend and yesterday i found out he was obsessed with rubix cubes :D lol i watched him complete one in about 5 mins.. he told me to have a go so i was carrying it around with me all day working on it nonstop.. i almost got oneside LOL

I've never even tried to solve a rubix cube ~_~

Every time I try to do one, I give up after about 30 minutes, by which point I've usually got at least nothing done.

PureRebel

i sit there and watch one side and work on it.. when ive completed it im like OMG WOO DONE IT!.. then loook @ other sides and feel like breaking the fucking thing

The person who invented rubix cubes had a very sick mind. He should be shot. If he's already dead then he should be dug up and shot.

someone re-invented the fucking rubix cube!! its some wierd looking thing but its exactly like the rubix cube.. has anyone else seen it? coz i cant be assed to describe it or look for it on the internet..

Is it that 5x3x3 one? Really tall?

That's just crazy.

The guy who invented the Rubix cube and the guy who re-invented it should both be lined up and shot together.

Why where at it, why don't we shoot the people who invented school.

Edited "shot" to "shoot", I didn't realize I did that. Usually I proofread my posts.

School ain't too bad.

Rubix cubes are the toys of the devil. No matter what you do you can't do them unless you're uncannily good at them. Who'd have thought that 54 coloured squares would make people so frustrated? Lats time I played with a rubix cube I took all the squares off and put them back in the right places manually. I rebuilt the damn thing.

Easiest way to complete a Rubix Cube: Peel off the stickers and re-arrange them.

30 minutes is the most I've ever spent on one, though. Ended up throwing it in the trash.

I used to be able to do a cube in like a minute, probably take me like 5 minutes now to remember the sequences and how to move pieces to where you want without fucking up the rest. It's pie once you know the method.

PureRebel

each prism on the MPG spins around both directions.. the faces Spin around so the yellow would end up being where the Blue is..

it mite look easy when u see one but they are hard as a bitch

They need to make a rubix sphere. That would rock.

There was also a page with something where you would put the colors of one side in and it would plan out steps for it and show you.

They all use the same formula.

Somehow I don't think that would be quite as...ehm...You go get on that, then.
