Hey, my parents just decided to get Satelitte TV and it was installed today.

It is Bell ExpressVu, now I was wondering what you guys have?

Cable, Digital Cable or Satelitte and what's your take on it?(as in good, bad--pro's and con's.)

Satellite, I'd rather have Cable so I could have cable internet, but I'm not the one paying for it so that's how it goes.

Cable

Cable TV + Internet = $65/mo.

I don't watch much TV, so I could care less. As long as I have my Comedy Central and Cartoon Network, I'm happy.

None. I get three channels:

Global Television
CTV (Canadian Television)
CBC (Canadian Broadcasting Corporation)

Most of the good American shows go on those networks, along with some good Canadian ones, too.

Why bother, they seem to be doing just fine looting everything.

We've got Satellite.

The regular package isn't too expensive, about a tenner a month. But if we want the film channels (which are packaged with Disney channel) then it costs another 15 quid a month.

Rain= no TV

Awww... :p

We get fine reception even in the most fierce of thunderstorms. Really gives atmosphere when you're watching one of those mad scientist films... :p

Wait a minute, if I comes before e except after c, then why is scientist and anything that is a variation of science spelt "cie"?

- Because there are always exceptions to the rules.

I'll have to wait and see if rain or snow affects my satelitte reception I guess.

Be careful with winds. They can blow the satellite receiver thingy out of line. Happened with ours, we couldn't get anything for a week until Sky sent out a van and got it sorted.

We couldn't even get terrestrial because our aerial is buggered...

DIgital Cable. Shitload of channels, almost never goes down.

And yes, my parents have donated to the Red Cross. An obscene amount.

Do you get more channels through Cable than you do on Satellite?

The bastards cable providers won't let us have cable, say we're too isolated. We're about 500 yards from a main road for God's sake! And all the houses along said road have cable. Bastards... :(
