all guilds SYG has made and hosted here on Zelaron have failed miserably......=/
Sum Yung Guy

this clan is the actually the most active section of any zelaron forum currently.
But yes the Americas Army clan I made did good for awhile then died away...

They don't fail miserably. Of course every clan will eventually die. I would predict this one to die around the launch of the 360, or maybe it will carry over to HALO 3, who knows. Everything dies, it's a natural part of life. I don't think it's failed either. We have played countless good games together. Everyone has listened to me complain about the double melee hit, the grenades, and the battlerifle countless times. And we have all knocked SteveHarris's sexuality before he quit playing. All in all, it's been good times, and even though DeLong and I have to wind down because our unit is preparing for Iraq, I'm sure the others will continue to play for a long time yet.

We have been preparing since last January, and I am leaving in November, Smith is leaving a little bit later I think, unless he comes back up to battalion level where Im at.

then you just got plump..................but boy can you acclerate!!!!1!!
Titusfied
2005-08-19, 09:16 AM
Powerlifter? At 5'7" you have an advantage, since you don't have to physically move the weight very far. I'm 6'2" about 190 right now, and powerlifting is hard... I just got back into the gym about 2 months ago, then proceeded to break a rib about a month ago. I can finally lift again without pain. I will become The Hulk!

At one point when I played basketball and ran cross country and took conditioning class I was in great shape. I've never really been thin since I hit highschool but I was like actually built pretty well. Then I quit basketball because the coach was a stupid Italian Fascist and started playing golf instead of cross. After that I just kinda got out of shape. When I start college I think i'm going to start lifting again since they just built an unbelievable new rec center and I think i'm going to join an indoor soccer league because it pones.

2005-08-21, 02:41 PM
Nice. I ran XCountry in highschool.. I used to be a friggin' twig in school between that and swimming. Once college hit, no more running or swimming, just a lot drinking, eating, and lifting which led to me gaining 50+ pounds freshman year. I've been the same ever since, so I guess that was where I was meant to be?
Sum Yung Guy
2005-08-21, 03:22 PM
You guys should do some Army physical training everyday. It will help in the long run.
gruesomeBODY
2005-08-21, 03:49 PM
im a golfer that drinks, so that means if i dont work out, i will gain weight. So i do alot of lifting and cardio work, whether its biking, swimming, or running, everyday. I usually take one day off a week if im soar or just going out, but like Sum said, working out is great in the long run

Back in high school I was in the best shape of my life. I captained Varsity XC, Varsity Skiing (Race Team), and Varsity Track in the same year. Placed 2nd in New Englands in XC as well. Unfortunatly, college took quite the toll on my physical fitness, and I've gained no small amount of weight and am yet to lose it.
Titusfied
2005-08-23, 12:18 PM
Wow, what kind of times did you run? My best year was Sophomore year, and I ran on average around 16:50 in the 3.1 mile. After that I became a serious pot head and quit XC.
gruesomeBODY
2005-08-23, 12:31 PM
u and steve should get together and smoke cause thats all he does apparently- he would enjoy the company
JRwakebord
2005-08-23, 12:52 PM
Haha for the 3.1 my times had a pretty big range, mainly because every course we ran was incredibly hilly. Hooray for New England. I did the 400 (quarter mile) in 52.3 seconds though.
Titusfied
2005-08-23, 01:45 PM
Yeah, I hear that. Our state course was a beast of a hilly course, where the first half mile was literally like a 15 degree hill slope... The best I ran there was 17:23, and the course record is like 15:23, but after that, only a handful of people have actually ever broken 16:00..
I wasn't fast, but I could maintain my speed. I'd be surprised if I broke 60 seconds in the 400 meter.

Just plain running sucks. I do it cause i have to, but it sucks. id much rather be running after a soccer ball, basketball, etc. I would run after the golf ball, but that would be to far of a sprint for me.

2005-08-24, 11:04 AM
Damn Titus, sounds like you were pretty damn good. Our highschool team got 3rd in the state this year mainly due to my recruiting before I quit. (Yes i take credit for that) It's the best our school has ever done in XC.
JRwakebord
2005-08-24, 11:44 AM
Yah, course records can be a bitch. I remember at New Englands, both the kid who won and I both beat the old course record. Unfortunatly, I didn't get any recognition at all because he got first. If it had been any other race, I would have held the record though. I was pissed.
