Currently I am building a new computer: AMD XP 1700, 256 Ram, 64agp mb card (nvidia). I have had it on before with a nigger rigged heatsink, and it got too hot and had a bluescreen error. Since then I've been waiting for a new heatsink , and I've tried booting it up again, and its been having problems, it'll boot for about 3 seconds, and shut back off. I just got the new heat sink today and popped it in, (with thermal paste) and turned it on. It doesn't shut off anymore, but there is no video. I'm not sure if it is booting up or not, I need some help...

Let me get this straight, after you had confirmation that what you were doing was damaging, you proceeded to go and do it repeatedly to no advantage? I've no more words for you.

D3V, I can't help you, but you can try computerproblems.org.

I'll keep a look out for sites that can help you.
