Hello all. I have just gotten my psychology book for college and was flipping through and saw Drug Abuse. So, being a stoner i read for awhile. Anyway, marijuana comes up and, I quote, "Marijuana and its active ingredient, THC, have been shown to be helpful in the treatment of pain, epilepsy, hypertension, nausea," (good to know) "glaucoma, and" (get ready for it) asthma.
How great is that. Just thought this would be helpful to any stoner asthmatics who thought they were hurting themselves, I know I did i just didn't care. Now you know your actually helping yourself.

Eh. I dont know how good it wouild be for anyone with asthma to smoke anything. Maybe if they took marinol instead though, something might be different.

It just says the marijuana and the THC that is in it is helpfull, I think the actual smoking is pretty bad for asthmatics. I guess eating it would be fine though.

Not really, if you would smoke it pure, it would be good.

Well, I stopped having asthma when I was like 14 and I started smoking when I was 17 so what does this mean?

Actually, its been proven that asthma never goes away, it just receeds and becomes nonactive. It might not become active again but it could become active any time or not at all.
You were 17? damn you were old when you started. I was 13 when I first started (i hung out with all older people, 15 and 16).

The THC and other chemicals in it can be helpful, but you're still inhaling ash and tar.
And welcome to the forum Shaggs.

Yeah, I was completely oblivious to what weed had to offer until I just manned up and told my stoner friends, "Friends, I want to smoke pot."

Weed may help cure asthma but it doesn't help PureRebel learn English.

Perhaps if one didn't smoke it but say, eat keif (sp), which is pure THC in the form of a powder. Or of course you get get a vial of pure THC juice. A pinch of the powder or a few drops of the juice is all it takes to get you high. No smoking involved.

It takes longer to work though. I think. Maybe some people want immediate stonage?

Just saying to help asthma in a more efficient way. If they don't care if they are asthmatic then by all means, go ahead with smoking it.

No need for powders or juices.....
It's no cure for asthma.
There's better treatments anyway..
