SoE was awesome. However, I never finished it. I only made it past the medieval age (when your dog turns into that fruity poodle) and then quit on it. I vaguely recall being told to fly around the world map and look for glowing spots to land on, or something to that extent, but I never went any further than that.
And Illusion of Gaia was amazing. Why in God's name Enix never released Terranigma in the States is beyond me.

SoE was really good. It didn't quite match SoM, but the playstyle was so similar that it couldn't possibly have been bad.
Illusion of Gaia was a good game, yes. I liked the transitioning of the hero and its incorporation into the puzzles. Great game.
Oh, and I played Terr on an emulator and had some problem figuring out what to do in the beginning. Sort of like on Harvest Moon for the SNES. Getting out of the town the first time is always a pain in the ass for me... "Why don't you go talk to some of the villagers?" "I'VE TALKED TO EVERY FUCKING VILLAGER 10 TIMES! LET ME GO HOME!"

Terranigma isn't all that great. Illusions of Gaia is a great game, but it isn't in my top list.

MY TOP 3 SNES GAMES:
1.) CHRONO TRIGGER
2.) SECRET OF MANA
3.) SECRET OF EVERMORE
Those games kicked ass, they were totally pimp, and i loved replaying them. I don't even know why. I would still play them. I bought FFC just to play Chrono Trigger again, and can't wait for Chrono Break! Secret of Evermore was a VERY trippy game, too bad you missed out on it, Raz. Later, your dog turns into a toaster. And then you can visit any time period you want, and your dog is always morphing to adjust, which is awesome. Man, I can't believe you didn't finsih it. My SNES is broken and i haven't been able to get a hold of Nintendo to get it fixed. I am getting that game again, and Secret of Mana. I would get them on Emulators, but it seems like all the GREAT games aren't anywhere to be seen in ROM form. Oh well, its probably for the best.
**Dreams about playing SoE, SoM, and CT, all at the same time with 3 heads and 6 arms**
That'd be the life............
