Decided I'd actually give this spiffy new DS Forum some action!
According to www.gamefront.de (a foreign gaming site, whose language I am incapable of deciphering because I'm an arrogant American) Monolith Software, the development team responsible for Xenosaga and Baten Kaitos, will be bringing both the Xenosaga series and a new installment of Baten Kaitos to the Nintendo DS.
Here's the full transcript of the article. Anybody capable of translating it would be totally kickass, in my opinion.
Well, with that news in addition to about ten confirmed games from Square-Enix, the DS is looking more and more attractive with each passing minute.

Okay i don't know this language but assuming that the language is like spanish, you can dechipher it from just reading it as is. What I get is
Namco Unveils Baten Kaitos DS and Xenosaga DS!
01.12.04 (paraphrasing)Namco has unveiled their plans to launch Baten Kaitos and Xenosaga on Nintendos new DS. There are no current release dates or any details about what the games will be. (maybe new games or ports)
The Xenosaga series has become very popular from its debut on the PS2 with Episode 2. (something about Baten Kaitos coming out (I am thinking they put the day first then the month then the year,16.11.04(meaning November 16th 2004)))
Then (information) on the Nintendo DS-Episode and the PS2-bzw. Gamecube version (word meaning brought up but not thouroghly discussed) but its unclear.
This is what I got, and I don't know German, so hopefully someone can translate this, i am as anxious as Raziel on this.
BTW, what is baten kaitos like?
EDIT:You can go onto google.com and search for the website and it should have an option to translate the page. maybe that will help, Raz! can't believe i didn't think of that sooner!
Hmm..they even have Resident Evil 4 for PS2...

I use babelfish. I think he was hoping for a human translation as machine translations such as babelfish either can leave stuff out, or simply do a word by word translation in which case the grammer can be all fucked up.

Cool, thanks for the assistance, Draco.

It's pretty badass. I've only played a grand total of ten minutes of it, because I don't want to get fully started on it just yet. Read a few reviews on it, and you'll get more complete info from them than you would from me.

Yeah, but it isn't coming out until next November. The Gamecube version is coming out in January.

Well, here's the official IGN article (http://ds.ign.com/articles/569/569825p1.html) on it as well. I guess this makes is basically set-in-stone.
Namco Brings RPGs to DS
Xenosaga and Baten Kaitos to hit Nintendo's new portable.
December 01, 2004 - On the eve of the Nintendo DS Japanese launch (five more hours!), Nintendo updated its Japanese software list with a couple of big surprises for RPG fans. According to the list, Namco will bring Baten Kaitos DS and Xenosaga DS to the DS.
If you don't keep up with the console RPG scene, both of these titles, developed by Namco subsidiary Monolith Software, are epic releases on their respective platforms. Xenosaga has remained a PlayStation 2 exclusive in its first two installments with Baten Kaitos currently being available exclusively for the GameCube.
Nothing is known about the DS versions of the games, but as a first step, just knowing that they exist will make purchasing a DS early Thursday morning all the easier.
Own, bitches.
It won't have many sales, fads die out quickly.
Good try though, nintendo.

Sure, that's why the GBA has sold more units worldwide than all three home consoles combined.
Seriously, all you ever do is talk out of your ass.

Just for my own interests I'd like to see where you got those numbers from.

I don't have the numbers offhand. If you give me a while, I can get them, though.

Here's the NPD worlwide life-to-date sales numbers, asshead.
Worldwide
PlayStation 2 68,288,961
Xbox 16,130,277
GameCube 15,218,771
Game Boy Advance 52,584,313
The statements I've heard in the past regarding the sales of the GBA were off, I admit. I've never actually seen the official numbers, myself. However, GBA sales do equal to nearly twice the amount of both worldwide GCN and XBox numbers combined, so I was half-right.
D3V, I spoke based on word of mouth. You literally lie in the face of concrete proof because your arguments hold no actual intellectual weight. Remember, you are the one that continues to drag hardware-bashing into these topics, not I. You're a pathetic fanboy, and there's no way you can deny it.
