Build mining skill.

Can anyone recommend a good area for me to build my mining skill? I seem to be coming across less and less copper veins during my journeys. I am currently level 21 so ideally I would like a relatively low level place with an abundance of veins of different types available to mine. The thorn hills near Camp Taurajo have a few veins but they are far too packed for me to make it worth my time to get from vein to vein without an over abundance of unwanted encounters which inevitably slow my progress.

Go back to durotar. Circle from Razor Hill, east toward the coast, running south midway between the coast and the road untill you encounter the fort. At the fort, head toward the top of the cliffs by the coast, then when you get to the south end of the fort, move west and go south along the mountain face as soon as it turns. Follow the southern coast then check the centaur canyons. Return to Razor Hill following the western mountain face. Go to the forge and smelt it all. This is the fastest way to develop mining up to about lvl 80.

How did you get your map to have the mining dots thing on it? Did you put them there yourself in like PS?
