When Mortimer is as old as his father, his sister will be double her age. His father will be double the age Mortimer will be when the sister is the father's present age. All current ages add up to a century. How old is everyone?

I had this for a bonus on a test and I couldn't figure it out. Maybe you can. I am pretty sure I remembered it correctly.

I can't really figure it out... Maybe I'm thinking about it wrong, but the only way I can see Mortimer's sister being twice her age when Mortimer is his father's age, would be if the father was 50. The closest I can get get is:

Mort - 16
Sister - 34
Father - 50

Or:

Mort - 17
Sister - 33
Father - 50

yah i got to that also lol and if u go with decimals 16.5 and 33.5 you would still never get to the exact number because it just keeps going lower and lower, so i dunno

No, I mean that it isn't possible, hence, maybe you read the problem wrong, and wrote it wrong here.
