k i got mic for my pc how does it work i don't understand it i plug in try talking to mic but i didn't hear my voice do i have to have programe to use it or no thanx for your help

Odd... did your mic come with any software? Also, did you remember to turn it on if it has a power switch ;)

First, unmute mic to hear in on your headphones to make sure it functions, then mute it (you don't need to hear yourself talk to other people)
c:\windows\System32\sndvol32.exe
second, select it for recording so your apps will hear you when you use it
c:\windows\System32\sndvol32.exe -rec
