I've been reading about items in WoW a little bit recently.

Aside from the basic information that we've all read about quality of items, (color) I saw a little bit of info on two subjects that interest me.

*Set Items*
As far as I can tell, these will be very similar to D2. Anybody got any info on it, or maybe some item examples?

*Merged Items*
Blah blah, crafted items. Same as above. Examples?

I would give you tons of information on Crafted Items.... but thottbot is down atm. I've been doing Leatherworking, and my druid wears full set of handstiched leather armor :)

Leatherworking needs a serious buff.

I haven't heard of actual "set" items though.

you know all the trade skill stuff, can you actually make items worth having if you get into the skill enough??

It's still worse than what you can get from Random Drops. -.-

But there's lower chance of that... I never get anything :(

Lets say you build a character purposely just to make the best stuff possible, if you spent hours and hours on this character, can you make godly stuff??

Urm... Yea, you'd still have to kill though, to survive in the higher level areas to acquire higher level materials.

You can still make fairly good stuff, the godly stuff is still only available as quest rewards/instance drops.

well all i know is that finding items shouldnt be so damn boring in this game. It is different monsters unlike killing the same one over... and over and over again. in d2

Until you find something that drops what you need, then you farm it?

He means once you find a monster that tends to drop decent items then you just keep on killing it over and over for those items, hence "farming".
